I still give this app 5 stars. I wanted to give an updated review after they added the ability to use multiple effects simultaneously on each and every track. It absolutely gives us a way bigger playground. I highly recommend making a song even as a beginner. You can use any Mix Pack at anytime and only buy them if you upload your new song. It's so exhilarating when a new project of mine is slowly turning into a final song. I look forward to more updates. Hopefully, they can organize the packs.

This is a good to great app for creating your own songs with the beats MMJ provides although in some category the beats my not be up to date but if you're a true artist/creator you can make your music sound great regardless...to the creators of MMJ, more up to beats are needed and it would be great if we could jump for one style to another style within one song that would be awesome... think about it, and how much would it cost to buy the whole package, let me know.

been playing since 2016, great app just waiting for a fix to alll reverb not flowing correctly, making stutters and jumps and making all my do not sound the same. wish i could go back to the version before the feb 2026 update EDIT: They fixed the issues everything was restored! Thank you!

That was a blast! I loved that from the second the app opened it guided me thru making a whole track. I've always wanted to make beats but every time I tried a music app I never kept it long because I had no idea what to do or how their setup worked. The quality of the music was so much better than any other I have tried. They have alot of different options & sounds that were really fun to try out. I think I finally found my beat maker app. Check it out. You won't regret it.

How can I change my artist name, profile pic and bio?

Go to the Community tab on the MMJ home page.

Click on the Profile icon available at the top left corner of the screen

Edit option will enable you to …… update Artist Name, Profile Picture and/or Bio.

Click on “Save” to keep the changes.

How can I delete a song from my profile?

Go to the Community tab on the MMJ home page.

Select the Songs tab to list all your published songs

Click on the title of the song you wish to delete.

Click on the three-dot menu on the right side and select ‘Delete’, it will then delete the song. 

Once deleted, the song cannot be retrieved.

How can I delete my account?

You can delete your account from Settings > Delete Account.Please note: When you delete your MMJ account, it would not be possible to retrieve your songs, Mix Packs, or Beatcoins.

How do I record vocals over my track?

Android: In the ‘Make music’ section you’ll find a microphone icon in the options on the left-hand side. When you enter the microphone/recording mode for the first time, there will be a pop-up advising that a recording/latency test needs to be performed. You can then arm one of the tracks/channels for the recording and start the actual recording process by tapping the microphone button on the desired target track. A brief pre-count will take place, before the playback of the backing track you have put together and the actual recording starts.

How do I create longer vocal recordings?

Please make sure you’re in the correct mode to actually play back the entire song at once – this can be set via the switch in the upper right-hand corner of the JAM screen. Once you have changed it to ‘Play all parts and stop’ this will play the entire project straight through, and you can then do your recording again and record onto the whole arrangement in one go.
