Why does my profile photo require my face in it?

The bubbles with profile photos that pop up on the discovery screen are the only way users can identity and associate a profile with someone they see in the real world. So for your profile photo, it is important to have a recent photo in which your face is distinctly visible and you are easily identifiable. Multiple faces in a single photo and photos with your face too far away are not accepted.

Why do some bubbles suddenly disappear?

The people who have left your physical vicinity and are no longer being detected by your device or have gone invisible are removed from your discovery screen. Please note that once they have left, it may take up to 2 minutes for their bubbles to disappear since we remove bubbles only after 2 minutes of no detection.

What happens when I kill or terminate the app?

On Android, you can feel free to kill the app anytime and the foreground service will keep your profile visible to others around you. To make yourself invisible — you simply have to set your 'Visibility' to 'OFF' in the app settings. Please refer to the "Going Invisible" section under "How do I use Sappa?" to understand better.

How can I change my account details or edit my profile?

You can modify your account details — such as your Full Name, Date of Birth, Username, Password, Mobile Number, and Email Address by heading to the ‘Account’ screen in the app settings. Please note that you can change your Full Name and Date of Birth only once in 14 days due to security reasons. Frequent changes in Full Name or Date of Birth will be considered suspicious activity and may attract a ban.You can edit your profile details — such as your profile photo, bio, about, and photo tiles by heading to the ‘Edit Profile’ screen by tapping on the pencil icon from the ‘My Profile’ screen. Your profile details will be the information that’ll be predominately seen by other users. Your Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Email Address is never shown on your profile.
