Great easy to stay in the know of what's going on around you. Keeps you social, trying new things, around new people... just an overall fun and cool idea for an app. I would prefer push notifications over emails. Toooo many emails. GREAT app. When you move to a new place, just want to meet new people rather than your friends or meet others who have the same interests as you, this is PERFECT. So many different groups and events for everything you can think off. Its absolutely fantatstic to get you out of the house and socialise and do things YOU want to do rather than part of a group. The best app to meet people in a new city. Currently in Barcelona, the app propose several meet-ups, from a basic discussion with coffee, to weekends with strangers to learn how to surf and yoga. Some meet-ups are free, others ask for a little participation. I have already participated to one language exchange and to one flamenco show (both free except drinks). Only defect would be the app interface, which is not that practise to use to me.

It does as advertised, and so much more! Just the tools, no frills, no fuss, no fuzz. It works beautifully, even despite average to poor planning [inside groups]. Simply indispensable. Get it now, and join new, more exciting groups you, as an individual, will like and hold dear. I sound like an ad, but I am not - I am from Porto, Portugal, and it had a significant (not all-emcompassing, mind you) effect on my life. It just works, integrated into your calendar, social networking, and phone.

Why can't I log into my account?

There may be several reasons why you can't access your Meetup account. Here are the most common ones and the relevant solutions for each:

1. Third-party registration

If you're receiving an error that says you're registered through a third party when entering your password, it means you originally signed up using Facebook, Google, or Apple. In that case:Use the Facebook, Google, or Apple button on the login page instead of entering your email and password.If you can no longer access your third-party account, create a new Meetup password to bypass third-party login.

2. Inactive account

If you see a message that your account has been deactivated or disabled, it may be due to one of the following reasons:

Extended inactivity: Accounts that have been inactive for more than six months may be automatically disabled.

Email issues or multiple reset requests: If the email address on your account is no longer receiving Meetup notifications — or if you've submitted multiple password reset requests in a short period — your account may be temporarily blocked for security reasons.

Flagged messages: If your messages have been reported by other members or detected by our spam filters, your account could be disabled for review.

To regain access, please contact Meetup Customer Support. We’ll review your account and help you restore access if appropriate.

3. Incorrect password

If you get an error about an incorrect password:

4. Generic login error / temporary outage

If you’re seeing a generic error message (e.g., “Try again later”) on the app or website:

It may be caused by a temporary issue or outage.

You can also try logging in via the desktop version of the site in the meantime.

5. Wrong email address or multiple accounts

If you’re not sure which email address is associated with your Meetup account:
