Greatest Audiobook resource I've used! Lots of titles, price for subscription is great, lots of sales. Update 03/02/2026 I recently received a new phone for my birthday. When I went to continue my current title, my progress didn't transfer over for some reason. Not a big deal, but a little inconvenient. Still an awesome app!

This app is perfect. They have so many plans to pick from. The less expensive plans do not include buying the books; you are only renting. The more expensive it is to keep for life. A couple of times a year, I purchase a book I don't like or can't stand the reader. They will return anything with no hassles. Do check the time, though. I believe the return must be within 1 year.

I listen to books on my commute to & from work - business, non-fiction & fiction. I arrive in a better, more calm frame of mind than I did with music. There are some favorite reader voices that basically act out the book rather than just read. Listen to a sample of the book before purchasing so you are assured you can listen to the reader's voice for the length of the book. Love this app.

What is a monthly audiobook selection or monthly title?

Monthly audiobook selections are any title you select as part of your Audible Standard membership benefit. With Audible Standard membership, you can select 1 audiobook a month and grow your Library collection over time.Monthly audiobook selections are available in your Library until you cancel. Once you cancel, you will no longer have access to titles you selected with this membership.If you miss a monthly selection, your ability to select 1 monthly audiobook doesn’t roll over to the next month.

How do I cancel my Audible Standard membership?

When you cancel your membership, you'll lose access to all titles that you received through your monthly selections at the end of your final billing cycle. You'll still have access to titles purchased with Audible credits or cash.After your plan is cancelled, any monthly audiobook selections in your Library will have a  lock icon next to them and you will see a message that a title is no longer available if you try to play it.However, you can still purchase that title if you'd like to own it or become a member again to regain access. If no purchase options are available, we no longer carry the title.As an Audible Standard member you can switch to other Audible plans anytime from the Audible site or through the Play or App Store. Can I return or exchange my monthly audiobook selections?

Monthly audiobook selections aren’t eligible for return or exchange. If you’re having an issue playing or listening to your monthly selection, you can try these playback troubleshooting steps. 

What if I don't select a monthly audiobook one month?

If you miss a month, your ability to select 1 monthly audiobook doesn’t roll over to the next month. You can always see the date by which you need to make your monthly audiobook selection on your Account details page on the Audible site or in your Profile in the app.

Can I listen to Audible titles with the Amazon Prime subscription?

Audible is not included with an Amazon Prime subscription. You will need to purchase a separate Audible membership. However, Prime members do get some Audible benefits. You can try Audible Premium free and get two free audiobooks.
