This story’s protagonist. The game takes place from her perspective. Asagi is a Taimanin, a female ninja sworn to bury inhuman evils in the dark from which they rise. She is hailed as the strongest of all the Taimanin due to her genius for swordplay and martial arts, her unbelievable speed, and a string of accomplishments that speak for themselves. Our heroine Asagi’s younger sister is vivacious, beautiful, and often competitive, but has a certain soft spot for Asagi herself. Her genetics give her the potential to be a deadly ninja like her elder sister. However, in terms of practical ability, she’s only an apprentice for now. She yearns to put her natural talents to work for the greater good as a Taimanin, a future that Asagi is staunchly against. Sakura has nonetheless been pursuing her training in secret. Tokyo is infested with demons, creatures of darkness and corruption. By ancient unspoken agreement, humans and these dark beings have always held themselves apart—until man’s depravity began to break down the barriers. At present, humans and demons collude to form gangs and corporations. Though evil may be on the rise, those who still choose to walk the righteous path are far from powerless. The government has formed the Taimanin, a group of ninjas who, while human, possess the strength to fight such nefarious foes. Asagi Igawa is the strongest of these elites, but after one last mission against Oboro—the fallen ninja leader of the Oboro Ninja Troop—she plans to retire from her years of service to marry her lover Kyousuke Sawaki. Yet her duty may not yet be done with Asagi, as her nemesis creeps back from the dead to seek vengeance.

This patch contains content previously released by Dark Translations and BiTrans.

Like the Kangoku Senkan box, the Taimanin Asagi Premium Box presents everything from TA1 to IZM 04 in glorious 1024×768 (you may need to upgrade your computer), with some minor presentation changes that you probably won’t even notice.

Also like the last patch, I’ve redone the word wrapping for the Dark Translations games, so that it more frequently takes up the entire width of the text box. Where IZM 02, Murasaki and IZM 04 are concerned, I’ve gone through and reworked a lot of text to bring it more in line with how I phrase things these days. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a retranslation, since I didn’t have time for that, but there should be an improvement.

Finally, I’ve included three completely pointless pages of artbook. They pale pretty spectacularly in comparison to the KS2 scenes, but at least we get to see Murasaki mind broken for about five sentences.

Final words:

The game stars and takes the viewpoint from a female ninja who is said to be one of Japan’s greatest warriors. She’s part of an elite ninja squad called Anti-Demon Ninja that fights in the name of justice. The main enemy in this story is the OFA (Oboro Forbearance Army) lead by another female ninja who is also said to be one of the finest in the land. These two female ninjas go at it until one of them is captured and trained/transformed against their will into a sex slave.It’s important to note here that the game takes place around 2050 in Tokyo, so technology has become relatively advanced. The world itself seems to be VERY grim. It’s also slightly fantasy based as it seems many different races inhabit the world, including vampires, orcs, and various types of evil spirits, which are the demons or “evil influenced” people that are making the world so corrupt. The ninjas also have special, beyond human, abilities as well.
