Changelog:

Brellik here with a devlog on how things are progressing for the next release. This update is going to be a bit special, as we’ll learn more about Samui and the MC’s past, introduce some awesome features and characters, and experiment with some animations. I won’t spoil much, but I think you’ll like it!

Progress

The biggest challenge of this update is the visuals, as the script I wrote requires lots of images. Using AI to generate them is like rolling a dice with a million faces. You never know what you’re going to get. Maybe it’s a masterpiece, maybe it’s a disaster. I have to make sure the images are consistent, with the right lighting, background, characters, etc. Sometimes I can get the image I want in just 100 tries, other times it takes more than 600 generated images to finally have the image I’m satisfied with.

It’s part of the grind, but all that grind pays off! So many people joined my Patreon and are giving me their hard-earned money. It makes all the work worth it! Thank you so much, everybody who is supporting me! I love you all!

New Features

This update will introduce two new features: the chakra management and the outfit feature.

Chakra management

Now you can manage the MC’s chakra, use it on people, cultivate it, regenerate it, and spend it. You already know about the chakra pills that you can buy to increase your chakra, but there will be other ways to do so.

Outfit rewards

This new feature is related to the “extra” option. Not going to spoil more than that, but I'm sure everybody will enjoy it.

The spicy edition will have full access to this new feature. The public edition will have access to this feature too but will be limited.

New Characters

Two new characters will appear in the next update. One is canon in the Naruto universe, and one is created by me. I won’t say much about them to avoid spoilers, but as usual, they’ll be as well-proportioned and well-generated as the rest of the cast.

Animations

I’ve started experimenting with a new program called Live2D. The learning curve is a bit steep, but the results I see on the net are really great. Next to the visuals, the animations are what take most of my time right now. Learning the program from scratch and making animations is very time-consuming. That’s why I don’t want to give a release date yet. I’m still a new dev and I’m still learning all these new tools that I use in my game. While I keep working on my game and gain experience, I'll be able to know how much time each tasks takes me then I’ll be able to give an early release date.

What are we voting for again? Two new customers that will appear in the minigame, with their own mini quest to unlock them + their item that you'll have to equip to spawn them + one more surprise.

Are the characters going to look like the promo image you had on the poll? No, they won’t. The promo image was just a showcase of the options you could choose from, not the final design. The two winners will look more consistent with the general art style of the game.

Are the eliminated characters going to appear again in another character vote? There is no shortage of characters to choose from to put in my game, so whoever loses the character vote will probably not get a second chance. But that might change depending on the feedback and demand.

Is the spicy version going to affect these new characters too? Yes, it will. The chili pepper will have the same effect on all customers, so whoever the two winners are, there will be a hot and sweaty version of them in the game.

GENJUTSU GAMBIT: Konoha's Conquest is a lewd parody of the Naruto series. I think to be fair, Naruto has been treated very well when it comes to the lewd parody genre. However, many of them feature a similar story and that is the case here. We play as an MC whose clan was destroyed and after decades of training, we are going to get our revenge by taking all of the hot characters we know and love from the Naruto universe and corrupting them to make them our slaves. Playing as the villain I guess is kind of cool, but I feel like I have done the mind control thing many times before. Still, it is a very good start and I am interested to see where this all goes.

Remember in the intro how I said that GENJUTSU GAMBIT: Konoha's Conquest is still being worked on? Well, the developer of this game is taking a rather interesting approach. Rather than just releasing small story updates here and there. They are going to take longer between updates and new chapters, but the aim is they will be much more significant in their size. I actually like this as it gives the game more of an episodic feel to it which I think may help people stay invested during the duration of development.

I will not pretend to know for sure just how much of the art in GENJUTSU GAMBIT: Konoha's Conquest was done or aided by AI, but what I can tell you is that this game looks fantastic! The character designs have a very high quality look about them, Sakura with her thick abs may be my favorite XXX incarnation of her! All of the characters have a very slick look about them. It is not just the characters that look great, the various locations in the game also have a very high quality look to them. While I love the way the game looks, I have heard that some people are not keen on this AI art so it is a very subjective thing it seems like.

As I write this you can play GENJUTSU GAMBIT: Konoha's Conquest for free or you can get the “spicy” version which is the premium version of the game. Either way, we just have a little bit of content here right now, but it does show a lot of promise. It is mainly a lewd visual novel, but there is a bit of exploration thanks to the map system as well.
