But, he is just learning, has rather average powers, and also depends very much on his relatives. Who never tire of reminding that without them, learning would not be possible. In addition, attempts to earn extra money or catch luck by the tail lead to constant failures. He is already desperate when he literally inadvertently captures and gains control over a succubus. Power over her powers and complete submission to the latter opens up incredible opportunities for him. Which he is not going to put off for later.
