Today I am talking about DENOS CITY which is a lewd sandbox style of game and one that is not bad at all. This is one of those games that has a bit of a mixed reputation online and if I am being 100 percent honest, I can see why some people are not super into the game, but I can also see why some people really like what it is offering. I wanted to share my thoughts on the game so you can hopefully make an informed decision on if this game is worth your time.

Revenge For The Past

The plot of DENOS CITY is one of the game's strong points in my humble opinion. We have just moved to the city and we meet a wealthy lawyer called Richard. We sort of get integrated into his and his family’s life, but there is a real secret here and that is things are not what they seem. If you have played a revenge type story in a lewd game before, you will see this one coming a mile away. While I liked the story, it is very strict in that you have to follow the path it sets out for you, I never felt like I was able to make any meaningful changes to things, but as I liked the story, I am willing to overlook this.

Cute In The Right Light

The character renders in DENOS CITY are interesting. It is like for every great looking one, there is a weird one that has some kind of strangeness about them. It is mainly the male characters that have a weird, almost monster kind of vibe about them. The character models for the most part is good, but even some of the more attractive ladies can end up having their bodies in some really weird positions which can take you out of the action. There are plenty of lewd scenes here, many of which have some good animation to them. However, like the renders themselves, the animation can be a bit off in places too and kind of jerky… but not “jerked” in the way you would want in a lewd game.

Follow The Right Path

Remember how I said the story was kind of linear in DENOS CITY? Well that means you will be clicking around the different areas, making “choices” and so on, but ultimately, this is a rather linear kind of sandbox game, I ended up soft locking my game as I did not follow the path properly. This can be frustrating and I get why it has led to some people not liking the game. I would not say it is as bad as people make out, it is pretty obvious what choices and things you are supposed to do in the game
