The game has a very fantasy-based setting, style, story, and set of characters. I always find that a fantasy setting fits an XXX game very well and The Fate of Irnia is no different. This time our main character is a spunky young heroine that lives in a land where every 12 years Orcs invades and causes major chaos. The land usually survives, but the battle takes its toll and last time this happened, our heroines’ father was the hero of the war, but he perished in the process, now it is up to you to save the land.The story is fantastic. I was very impressed with how much there was to it. I read that there were “no wrong answers” in this game as the story has so many branching paths and endings that no matter what you do, another path will open up.

The visuals of The Fate of Irnia have been the subject of a fair bit of discussion online. People seem to state that the game starts off strong, but then the visuals slowly start to get less impressive. I am not sure I would go that far, but clearly, you can tell that there was more of a budget or more time during the early part of the game, but I do not feel it is as noticeable as many people are saying. I will say that the developer’s other game, S.H.E.L.T.E.R has a much stronger and higher-quality visual style.Still, this is a very well-made game that is perhaps just lacking that extra bit of polish. I do like the sound design though and the fact that there is voice acting as part of this game is very impressive as many other XXX visual novel games do not have this.
