Hello, purplexel. Found the demo on Newgrounds and immediately fell in love with the characters, world-building, plot. It is really fun, and especially great to go through multiple times to see the various outcomes. My only real issue is with "Den", honestly. There is so much about the game that is up to your choosing, but the PC is always turned into a "caucasian" dude. It would be nice to play as an Asian, Latin, Black, etc looking person. If there is some way to add that feature, I think more players would come to you. It breaks immersion when a game is touted as one where you have nearly limitless control of the narrative through your choices, but you don't get to choose your appearance. It would add another layer of immersion and add to the already dynamic choice system.I do realize that the game is still being developed, so it could very well turn out that you were already planning to add that choice to the game at a later juncture. If that is so, please pay me no mind, and more power to you. However, if not, please do heed my point. It isn't even that large of a change, and nothing you haven't literally done already. Just program different tint swaps for the model's skin, the eyes are fine (though it would  be cool if we could keep the demon eyes :D ). You don't have to make it so immersive that you end up adding a color wheel for players to use, that's outside of feasible, reasonable expectations (and one even I wouldn't have myself).I know this request/suggestion would go over better/a lot further if I were a Patron on Patreon, but I don't make that much money, unfortunately, otherwise I absolutely would join. The most I could do, which I have already done, was purchase the second chapter from this site. I do hope that my situation improves enough that I can join soon, because this project, this game, it is important to me, it holds a lot of promise, and delivers on it, more than most other games before it. First, Den is a static character in terms of his visuals because he has a defined lineage and place in the story, although choice is given to the player over his actions. For what it's worth, while I would agree that his human form appears caucasian, his skin in DAZ is described by the artist as "Latin." Regardless, you could argue, why couldn't Cindy give him the choice of the illusion? Well, she could have. I simply chose not to incorporate this for reasons I'll go into below.When taking on a project like this, it is critical to limit the scope as much as possible. Most first-time game projects fail because they try to do too much with too little. I made an early decision to keep player choices limited to two areas - relationship building and personality. There are some "other" choices, but these are the fundamentals. I avoided choices that would necessitate alternate visuals within the same scene, such as character appearance (with the exception of pregnancy which is coming later). There are of course choices which cause branches to different scenes or scene variations which requires additional imagery, however, these are strategically placed and relatively easy to manage by comparison. The existing character variation that I'm assuming you're referring to (Demon form vs. Human form) does not introduce extra images, only model/material presets. You are correct that alternate presets are not difficult to create. However, incorporating them as variations into every scene of a pre-rendered game is an entirely different story that I'll go more into below.

Summary:

Den of the Defiant is a visual novel about the adventures of a young and not yet strong demon. He was calmly in his dimension and did not make plans to change his fate, when representatives of the clan of witches from another world called him. True, they wanted to get a different result, but a mistake and lack of normal education led to the fact that now next to them is an infernal creature. Which is in no hurry to kill stupid creatures who are too carried away by playing with something they do not understand at all. And soon the main character begins to realize that more impressive prospects and opportunities are opening up before him than he initially thought.
