We've been tricked, we've been backstabed and we've been quite possibly, bamboozled.It's not like it's false advertising or anything but hooo boy should this game have been $5 at best. Glad I got it on sale.Kadokawa has actual game developer subsidiaries like From Software and licence games to Bandai Namco and yet they'd take advantage of the fact they own Enterbrain to make a bare-bones RPG maker engine game that seems to mostly be on-rails.The on-rails part wasn't even acceptable in the 80s, FF1, DQ1 and Legend of Zelda 1 all had open world adventures. Even Final Fantasy XIII had more freedom than this game, which is saying a lot frankly.

As a big fan of the series, it's a small fun game. It's not that amazing, but maybe to spend some time playing that old turn based RPG Maker games. It's in English now, so no need to lose your mind over not knowing Japanese to play it. lolTip: if you ever find yourself lost in the game (and have watched the anime), try to remember what Naofumi did next. Most of the time the game follows Naofumi's steps exactly like in the anime. There are some scenarios that you need to read the dialogues to find out where to go/to do, so paying attention to dialogues here is a must.

Very disappointed in the game. Feels like a cash grab. So close to the anime that it's no joke. You talk more in the game than anything. Very limited on doing things and if you think like a casual farming RPG game like Final Fantasy 7 let's say. Don't bother, as soon as you get the the next spot in the story, your coin amount changes and EXP. Basically go at it like this. Would you rather watch the show, read the manga or play the game? I'd rather stick with the show and manga. Save your money.
