Loving In The Summertime

While I did enjoy my time with My Summer with Mom & Sis, I will admit that the story even for a lewd adventure game is a tad on the cliché side if you get what I am saying. We play as a young man called Connor who is 18 and he is just about to go to college. This is his last summer at home before he goes and he plans on having a little fun and if that fun just so happens to be a little “closer to home” hey, no harm done!

Lighten Up A Tad

The writing in My Summer with Mom & Sis is not bad at all, Connor is a character that we do get to shape as the story progresses. However, I do feel that the writing could have been a little less stiff if you get what I am saying. The writing is not bad by any means and it tells a pretty coherent story. Yet, I just wish the characters would lighten up a bit, it is all very “matter of fact” in the way that people talk to each other and a bit of humor here really could have taken this what is a pretty fun (all be it a cliché) premise for a story to a whole other level.

You Gotta Make Money And Make Things Right!

One of the most impressive aspects of My Summer with Mom & Sis for me was the gameplay. This plays like a top down adventure style of game where you have to go around the town, work, make money, spend money, and so on. You have to make money so you can spend it, but you also only have so much energy that you can use each day as well. There are also lewd visual novel and dating sim style elements to the gameplay as you try and gain favor with some of the lovely ladies that call this place home. The game is not all that long, but this is one of its strengths as the gameplay loop never has the chance to feel old and I always felt like I was progressing forward with the game as I played it.

A Real Sense of Style

My Summer with Mom & Sis is a very nice looking game. The character models here are great, they all look hot, but not in a completely unrealistic kind of way if you get what I am saying. The sex scenes are pretty hot and thanks to the more realistic writing, they do have a more natural kind of vibe to them. The “gameplay” is done in a top down style, but they do not use your standard pixel art, actually, the characters and the areas look like they do in the CGs, just “smaller”. Although, I will say that it is kind of funny the way that our MC, Connor sort of slides around instead of having a walking animation, almost like he is some kind of horny ghost!
