But, if you go in too deep, aka the post-game, you run into a roadblock which needs to be solved with abstraction. At that point, C++ only becomes one of the tools, and now you're focusing on source libraries which your code manipulates (or vice versa) to solve your task. I could have looked up documentation to figure out how to implement the source library, which in this case is manipulating the overworld to manipulate the level to manipulate the overworld to progress. But I already had loads of fun learning the game and solving these problems, and then the game needing me to overlap objects broke my brain for a bit.
