Introduction
In His Chuunibyou Cannot Be Cured, players will immerse themselves in the life of high school student Jun Mizushima. Interestingly, Jun Mizushima possesses a dual identity: by day, he's a quiet high school student who enjoys developing games, while by night, he becomes a Chuunibyou sufferer with the power to grant any wish. As the story progresses, Jun Mizushima will face life's obstacles and challenges, competing against rival teams in international gaming tournaments. Can he emerge victorious?
Story:
Jun Mizushima, a senior high school student at Higashi High, is ordinary in every way, except for the fact that he’s the only son of a wealthy businessman and that dabbles in video game development in his spare time.
Aside from those two things though, there’s one more thing about him that’s far from ordinary: he has an ability to make everything he wishes a reality. Or, so he thinks. But as life throws him hurdles and challenges in the form of a rival group and a looming deadline for the auditions for an international game competition, Jun realizes that he has to adjust to this terrifyingly new stage.
Will he manage to solve all his problems using this ‘ability’ of his, or will he be forced to accept that perhaps everything he has ever believed in has been nothing but a lie?
Features:
Dual Identity, Single Life: By day, Jun blends into the crowded halls of Higashi High, blending with peers who know him only as the “quiet guy with the game dev hobby.” By night, he secretly hones his skills, crafting game prototypes in his family’s luxury apartment—a space that mirrors his dual existence: privileged yet isolated.
Game Dev Passion as a Lifeline: His love for game development isn’t just a hobby; it’s an escape. While his classmates stress over college entrance exams, Jun loses himself in coding, storyboarding, and designing levels—activities that make him feel in control, even when his “wish” ability starts to feel less reliable.
The Illusion of Control: Jun’s ability manifests subtly at first: a lucky coin flip, a last-minute save in a game, or a coincidental meeting with a helpful classmate. He dismisses these as “good luck,” but as challenges mount, he begins to wonder: Is this power real, or is he just convincing himself?
Rival Teams: More Than Just Competition: The rival group, led by the sharp-tongued Aiko, isn’t just after the competition prize—they mock Jun’s “amateur” projects, questioning his skills and his right to participate. Their jabs hit harder than he expects, making him rely more on his ability to “fix” mistakes, even as doubts creep in.
Deadline Pressure: Time to Perform or Crack: With the competition deadline weeks away, Jun’s workload skyrockets. Late nights, buggy prototypes, and creative blocks threaten to derail him. He turns to his ability to speed up coding or inspire ideas, but each use leaves him with a nagging sense: Is this sustainable?
Reality Bites: When Wishes Backfire: Small failures—like a prototype crashing mid-demo or a rival team leaking his unfinished design—hint that his ability isn’t all-powerful. These moments force Jun to reevaluate: Has he been using wishful thinking to avoid hard work? Or is there a deeper truth to his power he’s yet to understand?

Comments:
As expected in the early version "Kachuna" I love the new little details with the chibis of choosing on who's route you'll be chosing. I like the little new dialog from the previous ones. I still adore the charcters and how the story is leading to. The music is cool, I like the new added ones, and still like the art style of it. During the two hours, I thought, I'll be getting a CG by then, but I guess I have to wait till I get to a specific scene, I still like it though, it keeps me in suspense on like, "Is it going to happen! or like ohmy god!!!!" My voice was killing me during the stream for this game. I seek justice in this.
don't know if I'm missing anything but as far as I can tell its a visual novel equivalent to a B rated movies, it's very meh. doesn't stand out much but I guess its alright kinda.wouldn't recommend at 10.99 pounds tho, not with the likes of nekopara and even sukara.
I dont even know where to begin about this game. In the few hours that I have played so far I have become completely invested in the characters and in the story. They are all so loveable. Ive only followed Yui's route so far and it has had me smiling, laughing and getting teary eyed. That to me is the sign of a fantastic visual novel, when your invested in the characters and want to be in that world with them. The story has also been pretty well written so far and is captivating. Although nothing grand in scale it is still a very endearing "highschool" story that is fun to play though.
Conclusion:
Kachuna is the story of Jun Mizushima, a high school student who suffers from what is known in Japan as the ‘eighth grade syndrome’, or the ‘chuunibyou syndrome’. Jun is someone who genuinely believes that he has superpowers. Aside from that, he’s also really determined to create a game of his own and compete in the annual International Game Development Competition for the Youth. With him are his friends: Takahiro, an awesome programmer; Tsumiki, a dazzling writer; Yui, an energetic musician; Ai, a talented artist; Megumi, the enthusiastic club advisor; and Shiro, Jun’s annoying little sister and avid supporter.
