In Evermore, players assume the role of a young man possessing mysterious powers, embarking on an adventurous journey to uncover the truth behind the mysterious murders of his family and friends, and to protect his adoptive mother and sister. Along the way, players will encounter a diverse cast of beautiful women, each with their own unique personalities. Together, they'll uncover the city's secret societies, uncover clues to the events of the past, and forge strong bonds with them. Gradually, they'll unlock erotic scenes with the corresponding characters, offering a thrilling and captivating experience. Story:

At the age of 4 years old, your parents were murdered in your childhood home. The years that would follow only got worse, every family you lived with died in a mysterious tragedy. Slowly but surely rumors spread and you started to be known in the community as the cursed child. These tragedies continued until you were adopted by a young single mother of 3 named Natalie and since then, your life has been a life of happiness and joy, you have finally found your home.

These years of peace continued until one day, tragedy strikes again while you’re out shopping . However this time, you discover you have a mysterious power. What is the source of this power and since when do you have it? More importantly, what will you do now that you’ve discovered this ability?

Embark on an adventure as a young man who just discovered magical abilities as him and his family move to Walton. Will this new town contain the secrets of his newfound abilities? Will it help him become the most powerful being in existence or will he be crushed beneath the heel of the secret societies and ancient evils. Future plans:

I've been putting this off because, honestly, I've been nervous to make this announcement. I've mulled it over again and again this year how I'd announce this as well as what my plans for the game should be. Not a day has gone by where I didn't think about Evermore in some way.

The story of Evermore will return, however I will be writing it as a book.

I thought about many options, like a full on RPG, but ultimately I settled on a book since what I was really passionate about was writing the story and characters.

I was a little worried about this announcement because "who would want to read a book written by a porn game dev" and other such comments I've seen in the past. I get the sentiment, especially looking at the early parts of the game, or even 0.5. There's a lot that could have been written or paced better throughout the game for sure, but I don't believe the first story I've ever written defines the quality of every future project I write. That's something I proved to myself when I wrote Dawnchaser (unreleased game). I loved the story of that game from beginning to end and while it's unfortunate that I never released it, it made me realize that I could write better than I had expected if I just worked harder.

I haven't been sitting idly over the past year, I've been practicing and studying writing, while working, as well as thinking about what would need to change for the story to work in the format of a novel. It will be a big undertaking for sure, and will span multiple books, but for the most part the story will be recognizable and have improvements (I had 0 experience with writing when I started Evermore, some changes are only natural). However, I made sure that in my plans I didn't remove the ideas and plots that initially got players interested in the story. There is a caveat though:

The book will not be a harem smut novel.

I know this might be disappointing for some. The target audience will definitely change but that's to be expected. Shifting from an AVN to a novel was always going to lose the part of the player base that's here to goon and nothing more. This is one reason why I considered just detaching myself from the community entirely. A novel would likely have my name attached to it and I doubted that many people who played the AVN would want to read the novel. Ultimately, I saw and read enough comments from people who loved where the story was heading once things started to pick up, that I decided I'd keep those who were interested in the story up to date.

I said I'd announce something in the summer, but sorry it took so long. As you might understand, I was pretty nervous to make this announcement since I'm fully expecting some criticism, disappointment, mockery, etc.

As for the timeframe, there is no definite timeframe as of now. I did start writing it and got pretty deep into it, but that was last year and in writing it I realized my writing needed some more practice and honing so I could do it justice. Since then I've written some throwaway shorter things for the sake of practice, read some books to analyze how authors do it, and I've studied writing from some lectures I found online (Brandon Sanderson for example has been a big help). I will start back up again soon and try to have more frequent updates and announcements.

Hi Dev, I hope you did your research on how to turn your story into a book. Most Publishers gets 1000’s new writers stories daily and will only accept a dozen or so. You may have to pay for your own publishing if you wish it to be in print. I have in the past talked to a publisher they advised me to have at least 3 books premade in case of writers block or burnout happens. Chuckles here is something I have done in the past with a few books I have wrote that was PG I placed them on USB devices and left them for people to find. I got this idea after finding a usb device that was a Treasure Hunt item. Just be careful folks I have found a few with sad stories on them. If you pick one up just be warned it could have anything on it. The last one I found I believe to be written by a woman admitting that her husband was not the father to their son that is 14yrs old.  You just never know what you will find.

Well , since the story was your excelence . Switching to books would definetly increase your income . From a fan perspective i would definetly congratulate you into doing the part you love . It is the mark of a true masterpiece .while i will definetly miss the game visual support . Well, A message was just sent out on Patreon. It's very disappointing Prometheus has decided to quit making this AVN and instead continue it through novel's. I hate reading books so he's lost me which is unfortunate because I enjoyed the AVN very must so far. It is what it is, it's not like there are not other good AVN's out there.
