If you're someone who bought the game on Itch beforehand, you should be able to redeem a complementary Steam key from your library page at that time. It doesn't cost anything extra, we just ask you consider leaving a review if you enjoyed your experience.

"Slay the Dragon!" is coming to Steam! 

In under two weeks, the game will finally be available on Steam. Have you already bought it on Itch? Come back when the game finally launches, and you should be able to redeem your free Steam key.

The key costs nothing, and all we ask is that you consider leaving a review with your honest thoughts if it's not too much trouble. It only takes a few minutes, and it helps immensely.

Regarding the Item Pricing

Yes, you, monster-lover. Startled by the item that was added to the store with the "PATRONS ONLY" tag?

Don't worry. The item exists as a placeholder for paid supporters on platforms like Subscribestar, where there isn't a means to link subscriber access to the store page (Patreon is currently the only platform that allows this). The idea is that this makes it first available only to subscribers, then later to the general public. Subscribers will get a key that nullifies the price.

No one is meant to press "buy" on the placeholder item as it is, now.

As soon as the game is publicly released, this placeholder item will go away, and it will be treated as any other item on our store page.

Sidebar: Only as I was typing this post did it dawn on me that there are creators who actually DO sell a patron-only item with a severely jacked up price, which is probably what's causing the (occasional) misunderstanding.

Hopefully this clarifies things.
