firstly, this is a pretty faithful remake of ghosttundra's first lacey video. the folks at veratrum or whoever coded and remade the yt video with python, it's cool, and secondly, the extra snippits and the other endings are pretty unique. if you want to play this game to find the endings, it's pretty cool.my problem is, whoever put this up on steam, did it WITHOUT ghosttundra's permission, and they took it to twitter to want it to be removed back in november (now a deleted tweet), y'know, 2 months before this was clearly re-released. the steam description is just not really correct, this game was green-lit and submitted WITHOUT their permission, so the desc just vaguely mentions them at the end.it's a cool remake, you can play it with ghost's approval but all they want you to know is that they were not at all involved in this nor were they ever contacted.

Laceys Wardrobe and the whole Lacey games anthology was made by a Youtuber/artist called Ghosttundra, it means to be one big ARG, these games were never real. But now, you can play the first installment? What a joy, but things surrounding it arent so much.As I mentioned the creator earlier, you will notice, they actually have nothing to do with this release, aside from a loose mentioning on the store page. This claims to be a fangame but most of its assets are basically stolen from Ghosttundra, its their art, not a recreation, and it was made without their consent.I was hyped for this project, despite knowing this I kept an eye on it, and I noticed, shortly before release the old publisher "Solsticend" got switched for "Veratrum," with the old Twitter deleted as well. Its probably the same person or people, but trying to make a fresh start? Whatever it may be, Im not here to speculate, but to present facts.Now to the game, its almost a faithful "fangame," it sports several endings and even has a death counter, I like that. Unfortunately, I replayed it several times with different clothing styles, and accurate styles Ghosttundras original ARG used, but I couldnt get another ending, is this bugged?Key factors that are missing here, are that Lacey never receives the gift her beautiful stalker left, or the message that she really doesnt want to leave the house. Those two parts take the majority of the horror, or people feeling pensive. You left out some of the best and most important shock factors.Yall probably wonder now, why do I upvote this? Well hear me out, Its free, a store page as a developer/publisher costs you around 100$, call it a redemption arc for the publisher, they have to pay for this, literally, and may learn, do better in the future. The second reason is; I hope Ghosttundra sees positive reviews here, and it makes them realize that a lot of fans of theirs actually want the Lacey games to be playable, and real games.

Ill start this off by saying that I am a huge fan of Lacey's wardrobe, and getting a video game adaptation is legit so cool. Unfortunately there were quite a few things off about this adaption (spelling mistakes, missing content etc) but overall it was a very solid experience! I hope to see adaptions of more chapters in the future ^^
