Know the moveset of your monster: Just like any monster duel battle, you need to be aware of the moves that your monster has, and the types or mechanism of damage it deals. The first monster, or your starter monster is among the trio of Agilu (Leaf), Volcub (Fire/ Rock), and Drala (Water).As far as the type advantages are concerned, there probably aren’t any in this game. Your moves will inflict equal damage on every type of monster, irrespective of their category, as long as it hits them.You may start your battle with a level 2 move, that deals higher damage, but your energy bar would be exhausted. Hence, always start with a basic low-damage move. All three starters are equally powerful, it depends on the trainers if you can win battles with them or not.

Use moves that can evade attacks: As much as it is necessary to deal damage to the opposition, sometimes, defensive play can win you battles. Besides moves that heal your monsters, certain moves can evade the entire damage dealt by the opponent on your monster. For that, check the move gauge under the opponent’s monster name. The move is unleashed when that gauge is full.Use a move like Fly or Dig when the opponent’s move gauge is full, to dodge the attack on time. The good thing is, that they not only help to dodge the opponent’s move but also deal a fair amount of damage to the opposition, based upon the level your monster is at.

Use moves to immobilize: Certain moves temporarily immobilize your opponent. These moves require perfect timing from the user. Moves like Sleep Powder immobilize the enemy for a few seconds, and the opponent cannot deal any damage during that time. Also, moves like Poison powder (Leaf attribute), deal constant damage at an interval of 8 seconds to the opponent. Others, like Leech Root, also have a similar function, while disallowing the opponent to switch their monster.

Level up your monsters: A powerful monster is usually one that is fairly leveled up. Even if your battle level is way below your opponent’s, a leveled-up monster can win matches for you. To level up your monsters, you need gold and EXP. A monster can reach up to level 10. Leveling up monsters means increased attributes, HP, and new moves. Hence, make sure to collect sufficient gold to level up your monsters.

Evolve your Monsters: Evolution only happens to selected monsters. It is a change of form, besides getting new moves, and gained attributes. For evolving though, your monster needs to reach a particular level, that varies from one monster to the other. However, remember that once evolved, the monster cannot go back to its previous form. Evolved forms always have a combat advantage over the non-evolved ones of the same species or attribute.

And can we just get around of applause of how far this game has come! I mean I've been playing since2021and I would love to see a story in this game and new characters and maybe there couldbe mega evolutions or some other gimmick there are so many things I could think ofabout the future of this game, but he only time will tell. The gameplay of this game is actually incredibly fun and engaging. It feels like ifPokemon masters stamina system mixed with the original gameplay of Pokemon. At firstyou assume it's a simple rock paper scissors system for counter moves, but you realizethere are many ways to respond to your opponent. Is your pendent running a mainly rushdown team? Well you could play the massive critter which dares your opponent to comein and get crushed, or play the elusive archer critter which can attack WHlLE dodging.Theres a lot of fun gameplay here. My biggest complaint is the fact it's progression onleveling critters and progressing areas is purely just Clash of Clans, which just meansyou'll hit a grind barrier when you're critters aren't high enough level for the next arena.Even getting new critters is a pain, and I'm not sure if it's somewhat random on thecritters you gain. I truly feel like if they made a single player adventure with this type ofcombat, it would be incredibly fun. The combat is kinda just pokemon combat on a realtime action bar with moves that can be responded to. So if you want to try uniquecombat in the creature collector genre, then this is the game for you.. as long as yourfine without the whole creature collecting part.

I love Monster Masters!lt's very fun to collect, upgrade, test, etc. different pairs ofmonsters.Having 5 monsters is very nice because we can see how we can line up eachone to give us a good strategy for whatever we are up against from the opponent. Buthaving a 6th monster slot would be perfect!Reasons:We are able to create/use morestrategy. Can make the battle a little longer. (Ends very fast at times.)Can have a chanceof using different types of monsters with the opponent.
