Racing Modes

Some game modes in Asphalt 8: Airborne include Classic Mode, Elimination Mode, Knockout Mode, and Drift Mode.

Classic Mode

This is the simplest racing mode in the game. In this mode, players will compete in 2 to 3 rounds depending on the track conditions, with 6 to 8 drivers participating in each round. Rankings are determined by the order of completion.

Elimination Mode

This is a very competitive mode. Specifically, players will start the race normally, just like in Classic Mode. However, at a certain point, a countdown will appear, eliminating the lowest-ranked driver. For example, if you are ranked 8th when the countdown reaches 6 seconds, and you fail to catch up to 7th place within 6 seconds, your supercar will flip, and you will be eliminated. The competition will continue in this mode until a final winner is determined.

Elimination Rounds

Your goal is no longer to finish the race the fastest. You need to demonstrate professional driving skills to defeat your opponents. The more opponents you defeat, the higher your score, and the greater your chance of winning.

Infection Mode

In this racing mode, 10 seconds after the start of the race, the bottom-ranked vehicle will be infected and trapped on the track for 30 seconds before exploding. However, the infected still have an advantage: during the poisoning period, they can use nitro boosts indefinitely. Racers must take advantage of this advantage to infect opponents by crashing into other players' vehicles. Each successful infection extends the infection duration by 10 seconds. In addition, each knockdown of an opponent extends the duration by 5 seconds, and each nitro boost can collected extends it by 1 second. After the poisoning ends, the vehicle explodes and returns to normal. The race will continue in this manner until all vehicles reach the finish line. The first player to cross the finish line wins.

Drift Mode

This mode requires you to use superb drifting skills to skillfully control your vehicle through various obstacle gates. You'll earn points for each obstacle you pass. Win the race by reaching the required score.

Multiplayer Mode

Multiplayer mode allows you to connect with players worldwide with just a stable internet connection. You can also create game rooms to race against friends.
