2021-03-26: 

Completely reworked the internal input system to provide better controller compatibility and easier controller calibration.

This will be most noticeable on Windows machines. Now you should no longer need to set up special endpoints for radios such as the FrSky Taranis etc. 

If you have been using an older version of Freerider you will probably need to go through the Calibrate Controller procedure in the simulator again. 

If you have previously needed to use a model with modified endpoints, it is now recommended to going back to using a standard default model setup.

Player Comments of FPV Freerider:

Though not accurate to the reel feel of a drone, using an rc transmitter as the controller allows you to start developing muscle memory for the controls and movements.

Very good lightweight drone/quad sim (heck, I bought it 3 times already just to support the developer, and Freerider Recharged as well).Being able to customize in-game physics allows you to tune the game to behave like your real-life quad if you have one, or downtune it so it is not too frustrating to use for beginner, which helps with training. If you are a starting out, go on youtube and find tutorials by Joshua Bardwell, they are REALLY helpful to new pilots he uses this sim to go through lessons.

Good Sauce. I'm playing it with a PC controller and it works fine, although I have had one issue with calibration going wonky which I fixed. Feels good, looks good, I wish the extended tracks were on Steam as DLC, as I don't feel lik.e installing them separately and managing that.I'll be getting an FPV drone soon to try this with a radio controller through USB.

Very good for something at this cost and size.As the Chinese saying says:"The sparrow is small, but it has all the organs it needs to survive."Freerider is a very lightweight sim, but it has all the functions it needs.You can freestyle, race, do acrobatics, and etc.But it lacks a tutorial. A well designed tutorial can double the efficiency of one's training.I hope the developers will add one soon.
