Jetpack Joyride

Jetpack Joyride is a fun action-packed parkour game where players control a jetpack by tapping to change their character's altitude, collect coins and power-ups along the way, and dodge obstacles to achieve higher scores and unlock different achievements. Compete against other players! As you complete missions and unlock achievements, your level will increase, unlocking various character outfits and high-tech mechs. Change your character's appearance to make them look cooler, and upgrade your mech to push your limits. How far can you fly?

Gameplay of Jetpack Joyride:

The game uses a simple, one-touch system to control the jetpack; pressing anywhere on the touchscreen fires the thrusters to make Barry rise, while releasing the touch turns off the jetpack, causing him to fall. Because he is continually in motion, the player does not control his horizontal speed, only vertical positioning.

The objective of the game is to travel as far as possible, while collecting coins, and avoiding hazards such as zappers, missiles and high-intensity laser beams. Contact with any of these obstacles results in instant death, though Barry's body will tumble and slide for an additional distance upon dying. As the player travels, golden coloured "Spin Tokens" occasionally appear, which the player can collect. At the end of each run, these spin tokens are used in a slot machine (one token gives one spin) which awards the player various prizes, including coins, additional spin tokens, a head-start, a player revival, or explosives that propel the player's body further after death. If the player does not wish to spin the slot, they can exchange all remaining spin tokens for 100 coins each.

Rainbow-coloured boxes with gears can also be found throughout the game. When touched by the player, these boxes provide Barry with a vehicle which lasts until he hits an obstacle. The available vehicles are "Bad As Hog" (a chopper motorcycle), "Mr. Cuddles" (a mecha dragon), "Crazy Freaking Teleporter" (a teleportation device), "Gravity Suit" (the suit used by Gravity Guy, enables gravitational reversing), "Profit Bird" (a bird-shaped plane which ejects banknotes), "Lil Stomper" (a large mech suit), "Wave Rider" (a jet ski), and "Sleigh of Awesome" (a sleigh drawn by two reindeer). In later special events, six additional vehicles were made available: a "Hoverboard" and the "DeLorean Time Machine" (both from Back to the Future), the "Ecto-1" (from Ghostbusters), "Voyager Shuttlecraft" from (Star Trek), and "Cryo Thrusters" (a pair of ice skates). Most of these vehicles are also available in Magnetic and Golden upgrades that can be purchased for coins in "The Stash" (the in-game store). In a later update, the "Strong Arm Machine" (S.A.M.) was introduced: the only obstacles faced while driving the S.A.M. are missiles, which the player must deflect with its arm. This vehicle, unlike the others, is only available after the player has collected three puzzle pieces, spelling "SAM", in one day. If the player activates the S.A.M. five days in a row, a special costume is made available as a reward.

At any time in the game, the player is provided with three missions, such as high-fiving (running past) a certain number of scientists, avoiding coins for a set distance, flying close to a certain number of zappers, or having a near miss with a set number of missiles. Each individual mission carries one to three stars, depending on its difficulty. When each mission is completed, the stars are added to the player's experience level and a fresh mission appears (unless the player has enough missions to make it past level 15). Once the number of stars required for the experience level are obtained, the player's level increases and a coin reward is given. Once the highest level is reached, the player receives one of 125 badges selected at random, showing that the complete set of missions have been achieved, and starts the game with new missions. The level titles (e.g. "Graduate", "Ninja", etc.) remain the same, but the level numbers increase, so a player will start from level 16 with the title "Badger".

Strategies of Jetpack Joyride:

Use gravity belt and dezapinator. They’re perhaps the most useful items. No one needs premium or any special advantages to break 100+ km scores!

Fly as middle as possible, click as much as possible, but as lightly as possible, to get better control and reaction time in the game!

There’s 3 ad revives, 7 quick revives, and some spin token revives (usually contains 1-3 revives). That’s over 10 revives per game. Also, maxed shield has 5 hits, and try averaging 3000+ meters/hit. So, your average shield life must be 15000+ meters to get 150+ km scores!

Don’t focus on flying tokens too much since some of them are impossible to collect. There’s nasty zappers everywhere!

Consider using your left thumb, and try getting used to it. That improves looking at the right side screen for the upcoming zappers!

In rocket time, the rockets won’t kill you. But be careful, because they can kill your shield!

Don’t get into S.A.M too early (below 2000 meters), because then the game hasn’t speeded up enough, causing rockets come crazy fast while going ahead!

It’s possible and legitimate to pause the game after using S.A.M, and then continuing in the next day with another S.A.M!

There’s no spin token tricks. The rewards doesn’t depend on arrow position, spinning time, or anything. They just come randomly, so you need to be lucky!

And lastly, coins isn’t a problem. The most expensive item/upgrade is Lvl 5 shield, with the whopping 1.2 million price. But, if you get 25k coins per game, it’s just 48 games. I wish you guys best of luck, I know you can tackle much higher scores very easily!

This game brings back so much nostalgia! I meant to review this game a while ago but was too busy. I used to play this game on my brothers phone but now I have it on my own phone! I REALLY LOVE THIS GAME, I do. but as of recently, it's becoming laggy? I don't know if it's the events I have been only playing because I haven't played the original yet. I recently moved onto a new phone this year, I have a better phone than last time. and it's still lagging? like the game normally, but switching between slow gameplay and normal gameplay type of glitch? I don't know how to explain it, sorry. edit: or, maybe it's just me? I don't know yet.

It was and Still is great I loved this game as a kid and still do now I hope many future generations get to play it it's very fun and exciting but I wish it didn't have as much adds or even make its items in the game cost so much but other than that im glad they also brought it to PS4 and PS5 i hope it comes to other consoles too Thank yall.

This game is one of the best mobile games to play to burn time, yet still feel awesome when you get a gadget or get a bunch of money in the free spin slots. The game is almost completely playable offline, the only thing you won't get is the strong arm machine, and maybe a event. the daily reward even works offline so basically the entire game is functional offline. this is such a fun game and there are high chances I will purchase something from them in a short amount of time. I love this game.

Final Verdict:

In Jetpack Joyride, players will experience gameplay similar to running to infinity, where players will control their character to move continuously on the game screen. At the same time, you will not need to worry about focusing too much on controlling the character with many different buttons. The character will automatically move on the game screen, and you will try to dodge the obstacles that appear in front of you and collect a certain amount of gold coins.
