Cocaine is a truly terrible drug!

This story is quite bizarre. The protagonist has a wife named Emily and two daughters. He seems to have everything, but in reality, he's addicted to cocaine. The addiction ruins his life, and he can't fulfill his responsibilities as a husband and father. Ultimately, Emily decides to divorce him.

Years later, you chat with Emily and decide to try dating her again after kicking your addiction, hoping to rekindle your old flame. Of course, as a visual novel, you're not limited to pursuing Emily; other girls are also vying for your attention.

Do the right thing. 

*Parental Love* offers five different paths to choose from. While Emily seems like the best choice, she is, after all, your wife and the mother of your children. There are other girls in your life. Ellie is probably my favorite, but there's also Jenna, Sophie, and the path leading to the underage Ida. My advice is: stay away from Ida.

As a visual novel game, the main gameplay involves interacting with characters and responding appropriately. This is fairly straightforward for a visual novel, but the game's success lies in the fact that it makes your choices truly impactful, which is precisely what makes this type of game so commendable. Furthermore, the interface is surprisingly clean and easy to use, which I appreciate.

Relax, Tiger!

When you see *Parents' Love*, you can immediately tell it's made with the Ren'Py engine; the graphics are incredibly realistic. Although the game was released a few years ago when I wrote this review, its visuals are still outstanding. Some of the female characters look fantastic, especially Ellie, who I find incredibly sexy! The various scenes in the game are all realistically rendered, and I have no complaints.

The biggest drawback of this game is the sound effects—it's completely silent! Playing a game with almost no sound is very uncomfortable; I definitely noticed the silence, which even made me feel a bit out of place.

Final Thoughts

Parental Love is a pretty good visual novel for adults. Its setting is quite "realistic," which some people might not like, including myself, and I almost missed out on the game. The visuals are good, the characters are interesting, and overall, it fulfills its purpose very well.
