It is meant to feel familiar while also deconstructing some of the popular tropes of the genre.A bright young psychology student finds his dream job as a sexologist and has a great future ahead of him... until some inappropriate behavior throws everything out of the window. Now, plagued with regrets and self-doubt, he tries to start anew. He will have to fight his inner demons and decide what kind of man he wants to be. All the while using his psychology knowledge to understand the kinks and needs of the potential love interests he finds along the away.

Gameplay:

Shape the main character’s personality in four stats: Honorable, Cunning, Sensitive or Manly stats. Increase your stats with every choice you make.

Each girl will subconsciously give you hints about their sexual kinks. Use the hints to guess their kinks to have sexy scenes with them.

Use your personality points to acquire different Kink Skills. Your sexy scenes will be different depending on the skills you have. For example, in some scenes you can choose to be dominant or submissive.

If this is the first time that you have encountered this game, and are considering downloading it, just know this:It is BARELY able to qualify as porn. There is nudity and sex, but this is far closer to 'Acting Lessons' than it is to a normal porn game. Honestly, in my opinion, this game is inferior to 'Acting Lessons.' Where 'Acting Lessons' makes the MC the victim of pretty much EVERY choice that he makes (and specifically a mentally ill stalker), this game has the MC being the one with demons plaguing him.This game is really well written. It starts out strong, but at the end of Chapter 1 something happens that sends the MC into a tailspin for Chapter 2. And, yeah it is a reasonably accurate depiction of mental illness, but mental illness is bleak and depressing. And bleak and depressing is a TERRIBLE vehicle to convey porn. Porn (and sex) is a more light and cheery subject when compared to the abject misery of borderline suicidal ideations.In real life, I've been a nurse for over 30 years. Much of that time dealing with the mentally ill. I simply couldn't make it through chapter 2, the MC's whining became insufferable to me. And I simply quit the game. But I have to accept that the writing might have been too close to a day at work for me to be able to relax rather than critique it.So, if you are looking for some fun times with girls in the porn genre, this game MIGHT not be for you. If you are into a psychological mind fuck, your time and money MIGHT be better spent on this than on Drifty's (awful, terrible, abysmal) 'Leap of faith.'On the other hand, at least Drifty FINISHED 'Leap of Faith,' and this game might possibly be dead. Hey Mr Lusty, just about to start v0.6.3 after reading your notes! Will provide you feedback. But one detail that has always bothered me (i love your VN and have praised it highly on F95) is the moment where the protagonist realises that his first meeting with Emma was secretly arranged by his friends. Sure, you can call that a conspiracy, but the MC isn't stupid, just depressed etc; He would realise what it was. So I think the two choices of how the MC reacts could be: (1) he accepts it (not angry) and he gets + both red (manly) and yellow (honest) points, but if he has a problem with discovering the truth, then he gets (2) + blue (emo points) and green (chaos) points reflecting his mental state (rather than anger). A rational person would see the "conspiracy" as his friends trying to help (sure Emma is interested) while any other interprestation should (imho) reflect his troubled mind. Kudos to you!

First of all, dude, congratulations. Amazing game. I started playing novels after Nothing Is Forever, you opened that path for me lolI just downloaded the last build and I wonder which of the characters already have a playable path with "scenes" and kinks and so on, I mean I'm trying to get a romance with Olivia, I choose her for the initial crash but I still can't get any kinks or hints for her.I forgot to backup my old saves so I'm playing the game all over again and even if I'm focusing on her, I still have problems getting anywhere.EDIT: ok I may be an idiot, I just saw new images of the last version, I guess I'm gonna get something with Olivia but I just need to go on in the game, right?

Conclusion:

Nothing is Forever is a visual novel with spicy content in which players will contribute to the recovery (or vice versa) of the main character. The character was moving very quickly towards his cherished dream, overcoming stage after stage, causing admiration among the people around him and was one step away from an impressive achievement. But. An unexpected illness not only delayed him, but almost completely destroyed all his previous successes. Now he has to learn to live in a new way, cope with problems, restore the past, and also try not to ruin relationships with people close to him.
