The Future Will Save The Past

One of the first things that is worth noting about Future Fragments is the story. I was not expecting much, but it is kind of cool. The game at first is set in a medieval world where you play as one of two hot chicks trying to save your kingdom. The battle is getting too much for your kingdom so your king sends you into the future to collect the fragments of a special weapon that can turn the war in your favor.

That right there is a strong enough story, but there is more. Once you are in the future, there is another story like running where this future is an oppressed place where there is no sex and things are bleak! It is very well-done stuff and I must admit I got way more invested in the story here than I thought I would.

As far as the gameplay of Future Fragments I would say that Mega Man X meets Castlevania Symphony of the Night is the best comparison. The game is very well done in terms of its game design. It plays like a 2D run and gun exploration style of game and the gameplay feels nice and tight. I like the way you can decide what order to play the levels in. there are many different enemy types and there is a handful of bosses to take on as well.

There is a ton of different endings in the game too! You get one of these by making various choices as you play the game. This is something handled quite well and it gives you more of a reason to play through the game multiple times and trying different choices. The hentai scenes I can take or leave if I am being honest with you guys. This is a game that stands on its own as a good game even without all of the hentai stuff.

User Evaluate:

I think the best summary of this game is just one of the most mind numbingly banal Hentai games you will ever play. The writing is terrible, corny and worst of all lacking any sense of class or wit. Highly unfunny quirky self-awareness just serves to compound how stale the writing is, especially in the "defeat scenes". Gotta give the voice actors credit though, they did a good job even if its wasted on this one.

The gameplay is very average. You get some moves that let you move, shoot, dash, etc. but nothing sweet like deflects. The enemies grab you and """have sex with you""" and you do the cookie cutter key mash to escape. It's got some puzzles, gravity flips and the usual platformer mechanics, which are honestly fine. What is not fine is how the level design is both big and cookie cutter as all hell, holy crap they made this one a boring ass slog to play. I do not think the gameplay at all do justice to its place as Hentai Game, nor redeeming enough to make it a good game let alone hook you into wanting more. In my experience quite the opposite, unless you have hot cock all day and nothing better to do.

Then at last we have the Hentai aspect of it. It's pixel art animations are pretty generic and look like eye piss with the obligatory key mash escape, not much to say beyond that. I'm not even sure what to call the "defeat scenes" since they are written in such a way that they are apparently not rape, even though they are very much obviously in that kind of context. Written away by splain'n that the protagonist and her buddies are merely super sluts who don't really mind being dominated and roughly fucked by a wacky assortment of "things". Talk about forced lmao, easily some of the worst context I've ever seen attached to Hentai content. I cannot wrap my head around how someone invested enough to make a game of the niche hentai genre would blunder such a critical thing this badly.

It's such a shame too since the art and especially the voice acting is actually of quite decent quality. If it was done better the result could be genuinely extraordinary.

There is also the stupidly convoluted morality/reputation system which really might as well be a net to bore the people who somehow couldn't be bored by all the above. How is such a thing possible? By making them replay this game for some anesthetizingly boring outcomes.

To summarize: This game fucking sucks, every aspect of this gravity well of gorilla shit is a lobotomizing mind worm wriggling from a fountain of shit. It might just be the only Hentai game that'd only truly make the cut as a Hentai game for teenagers. Unfortunately such a thing does not(legally?) exist.
