The H.G. Academy, a once-renowned magic academy of centuries ago, is currently declining. You are a boy who left the human realm with his best friend to go to this academy in the magical realm because you are the first man in history with the talent to perform magic. The magical realm is a mystic land with many new experiences for you, and full of girls without the slightest idea of what a "man" is. However, upon arrival at the academy, the lack of teachers, students, or any glorious magic is painfully evident. With only a director, a nurse, and a teacher, the academy makes every effort it can to get its footing and be able to teach magic as it is said it once was. But today, in the magical realm, no one is interested in magic. It is considered now to be old-fashioned and wild. However, you will be the help the academy needs; together with the director Maeve, you will be able to gather students, equipment, magic, magical objects, and teachers to return magic to its former glory.

I have explained the reasons for the delay on the Patreon and I do not want to repeat them like a parrot, the only thing I have left to do is thank you, and wish you a good time with the update that we have brought for you.

Revamped Sprite: Angelika.- No changes have been made to her design (not yet), nor has the art style. This revamp was only to make her sprites compatible with the customization system

Revamped Sprite: Elizabeth.- Changed art style for better looks while maintaining Elizabeth's original concept untouched. Maybe with her improved looks now you'll hate her less ;) (Or maybe not but hey, she's cuter!)

Revamped Sprite: Dahlia: Changed both the art style and design, in a successful attempt to get that goth lolita vibe from her.

Revamped Sprite: Maeve: We heard the criticism regarding Maeve's design from v0.5.x. After that, we decided to make one last attempt to fix Maeve. I can say we did it. This is the best version of Maeve so far and I'm sure you'll love her as much as we do.

Please keep in mind that you need to start a new save for this update. Not only there are many new events that you can find in previous parts, but there were many coding modifications, to the point the save is no longer compatible.

The game takes place in a world of magic. The thing is, in Maeve's Academy, magic is not seen as being cool or all that relevant anymore. As a result, the academy is not exactly flourishing with students or faculty, but we may change that! You see, in this world magic may be a thing, but men are not! Most of the women here have never even seen a man so when we show up with our “magic wand” we cause quite the stir as we try and make new friends and help the academy survive.

As I said in the intro, Maeve's Academy is still being worked on and that is very evident with the story. We have a solid premise here, but there is not much in the way of depth just yet. It is kind of like we are playing a demo as it can feel like the story is jumping around a bit with some scenes seeming rushed and coming out of nowhere if you know what I am saying. It is not bad by any means and we do have some very charming characters, but I am very interested to see how it all ties together as the characters and story are fleshed out.

So far, the best thing about this game is the visuals. Maeve's Academy looks fantastic, it has a hand drawn style to it that is just so appealing! The characters look great and the way that they move, not in the XXX scenes, but just in the regular scenes, gives them a ton of personality. They have this little head bobbing thing going on that is subtle, but it kind of makes everyone seem more alive. I have seen a few sex scenes in my journey so far and these have been a lot of fun. I will also say that we have a great cast of characters here ranging from those who look like witches to a sexy demon style character.

Right now, Maeve's Academy is a very basic lewd visual novel as there is not much to do. You can pick from a few dialogue options, and you can sometimes choose where you go, but that is about it as far as the gameplay goes. I can see the bones of a fun and interesting lewd sandbox game here so as the game is developed more, it looks like stat building and exploration will be fleshed out more. I just hope that they do not go too far with this and make it a grind fest.

Conclusion:

Maeve's Academy - a project with frankly piquant content and hand-drawn graphics in which players will enjoy exciting adventures and unexpected discoveries. The main character will be a young man who was the first of men to discover magical abilities. A logical decision was to travel to the legendary academy of magic. But upon arrival, it turns out that the educational institution is in complete decline. There are no students, the building is dilapidated, the teaching staff has long since fled. Apart from the headmistress and a couple of bored pensioners, there is no one here. The protagonist decides to restore the former greatness of the institution, as well as slightly change its charter and rules.
