NPC Tales: The Shopkeeper - a project with cute hand-drawn graphics for an adult audience of players. The product departs from the usual understanding of a visual novel with a choice system and various factors. In front of gamers is already a practically full-fledged role-playing project with resources, parameters, decision-making, free movement around locations within a developed scenario, and so on. Beautiful pictures, many NPCs, a fantasy world, development, spicy scenes, animation and excellent prospects for the development of the entire concept make the entertainment a must-see for fans of the category.

This update is primarily focused on the completion of Rory's event and opening up the remaining scenes for you to choose from, which includes new poses, animations and interactions. Like in the previous versions, to engage in to the new scenes, its best to get Rory's lust up to above 60% before lowering her health. To get the flash option, above 20% will do.

Combat mechanics have been streamlined to make battles easier and more enjoyable. Additionally, character and item stats have been added to the game which will impact combat, primarily, armour stats will lower your damage output, so remember, stripping your opponent’s armor and weapons will increase your effectiveness in combat. This is still a work in progress and will be updated over time.

Reviews:

I will admit that I am a little worried about the way that AI is taking over, have people learned nothing from Terminator? However, NPC Tales: The Shopkeeper is a game that is made with a helping hand from an AI program. As far as I am aware, it is mostly for the art, but to be fair, this is one of the better AI assisted lewd games that I have come across. Some lewd games made with the help of AI are so freaking weird, but had I not known for sure that this was made with the help of AI, I do not think that I would have actually had any idea that AI was anything to do with this.

As the developer has said that NPC Tales: The Shopkeeper is more of a tech demo, you are probably not going to be surprised to learn that there is not much in the way of a story in this current build of the game. From what I could gather, the idea is that we work in a shop in a fantasy land and we basically are tasked with helping the NPCs that call this place home as well as feeling up the shopkeeper. There is a bit of stuff the developer has written about how they want the story to be about NPCs and their lives, but as of me writing this, there is none of that or any real story in the game.

What actually drew me to NPC Tales: The Shopkeeper and made me want to give it a try was the titular shopkeeper babe. She has a bit of Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild about her that I thought was cute. Actually, she is one of those characters that walks the fine line between being cute and straight up hot. The AI assisted art looks great for the most part and even in this early stage, this is a very good looking game. There is a bit of animation here in the groping and banging that you can do and the combat has a tiny bit of animation too. In all, I liked the bright and colorful style of the game and I am excited to see what other characters are added to the game.

I am still not entirely sure what the goal of NPC Tales: The Shopkeeper is as far as the gameplay goes. You have this shop that sells gear and you have a shopkeeper that gets fondles and then there is a combat scene where you can fight. The best thing about the gameplay is the stealing clothes thing which I thought was a pretty neat idea. At the moment as far as the gameplay of the game goes, I would have to say that it is a series of cool ideas that could be great with the right amount of attention paid to them.

The Shopkeeper is an intriguing tech demo that provides a preview of an upcoming project focused on a unique "free use fantasy" concept. In this game, the boundary between reality and gaming mechanics becomes fluid, allowing NPCs to come to life in surprising and interactive ways. As the player, you will navigate a world where characters typically respond only to game triggers but can be engaged with in more profound and unexpected manners.
