I've had this application on my Windows machines for quite some time. I was verypleased to see is available for iOS also. It allows me to watch or listen to content thatwould not normally be available from my location. The actual VPN function for encryptionis great when I am using public WiFi. Learn how to uninstall HMA from your device?

Based on your operating system, follow the instructions below to uninstall HMA from your device.

Windows:

Right-click the Windows Start icon, then select Apps and Features from the menu that appears.

Ensure that Apps is selected in the left panel, then click ⋮ (three dots) next to HMA VPN and select Uninstall

If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes

When the HMA VPN setup window appears, click Uninstall

Click Uninstall to confirm that you want to uninstall HMA VPN

Wait while the uninstaller removes HMA VPN from your PC.

When the confirmation message appears, click Done

Android:

On the Home screen of your device, tap the Play Store icon to open Google Play Store.

In the search bar, type HMA VPN, then select HMA VPN from the search results.

Tap Uninstall twice to confirm uninstallation.

Troubleshooting connection issues with HMA VPN?

Windows:

If you are unable to connect to your new HMA VPN client, here are a few things you can do to solve the issue.

NOTE: If you are connected to a public or company Wi-Fi, the network administrators may block VPN connections.

Follow the instructions based on your operating system:

Check that your internet connection works when HMA VPN is disconnected. If your internet connection is not working, check your network configuration.

Confirm that your subscription is active. Click Setting (the gear icon), then select Account, and check if your app is associated with an active service.

Use Lightning Mode. Lightning Mode performs a background ping test on multiple nearby servers to give you the best connection available. Click on the Location tab on the main HMA screen, then click on Lightning Connect. 

Try connecting to a different server as the connectivity issue could be related to the server you are currently using. Click on the Location tab on the main HMA screen, then choose another server from the list. 

Select a different VPN protocol. Click Setting (the gear icon), and select Advanced, then choose another protocol from the list.

Disconnect other VPN services that may be running on your PC. If you are connected to another VPN, it is likely that HMA VPN will not work properly.

Restart your PC and try connecting to HMA VPN again.

Check the configuration of your firewall. Firewall configurations vary according to the vendor/manufacturer. Consult the related documentation for information about running a VPN.

Switch to a different VPN protocol. Tap Setting (the gear icon), then select VPN Protocol. The following options are available:

Automatic (recommended): Where possible, HMA VPN connects using the OpenVPN protocol. If connection via OpenVPN fails, the application automatically switches to the Mimic protocol.

WireGuard: HMA VPN always connects using WireGuard.

Mimic: HMA VPN always connects using the Mimic protocol. This is useful in countries with restrictions on VPN use, where OpenVPN may be blocked.

OpenVPN: HMA VPN always connects using the OpenVPN protocol.

Disconnect other VPN services that may be running on your Android device. If you are connected to another VPN, it is likely that HMA VPN will not work properly.

Restart your Android device and try connecting to HMA VPN again.

Clear your Google Play Store cache. Open your Android device Settings and select Apps. Select Google Play Store. Tap Storage, then Clear cache. If prompted, tap OK to confirm. NOTE: These steps can differ slightly depending on your device model.

Lastly, uninstall HMA, restart your Android device, then install HMA again.

If HMA VPN is still unable to establish a connection, the problem may be caused by the network policies of the Wi-Fi or cellular network you are connected to.
