This is such a great app. You can test the speed of your phone (which you can choose multiple different test servers in different locations so you can see the complete picture of your speed, what will work best while on your phone meaning watching videos, Internet searching, etc) your max resolution you are getting at the time. It also has a Down Detector which is so awesome. It lets you know which apps are experiencing issues and possible reasons why.

I've been using Speedtest for several years now , among others out there , and have made quite a few comparisons and I've found it to be the most reliable and accurate Wifi testing app out. I've always only used the free version from the PlayStore and never paid a dime and have had zero issues with it. You can see your WiFi speeds all through out the day. Helpful for me so that I can better plan my day around peak times. There's a history page so you can see all of the speed tests you've ran with time of day, date, and the speed. Once you start following your history you will find the best time you WiFi runs the best. Definitely great for gaming and cutting download time so you can get back to gaming.

Speedtest by Ookla rated high in my research regarding the best and most trustworthy 3rd party app for testing your internet speed as well a few other tests. It's a reliable app but because it uses so much data you probably wouldn't want to use it everyday. Especially if you have a monthly data allowance. I was actually shocked when I found out how much data it used over the course of three weeks, testing it every two or three days.
