Tapas

Tapas is an app for comics and novels featuring high-quality works from around the world across a wide range of genres—including otherworldly adventures, reincarnation stories, teen romance, otome, sci-fi, and more. Users can discover their favorite titles via keyword searches or category filters, download chapters to their devices, and enjoy reading anytime, anywhere. The app boasts an active community where you can discuss storylines and theories with fellow fans, interact directly with authors, share feedback, and have a great time. For creators, the platform makes it easy to publish work in just a few simple steps and offers comprehensive growth programs designed to help you hone your writing skills.

Features of Tapas:

Large story library: Tapas gives you access to a broad reading catalog that includes webcomics, webnovels, manga, manhwa, novels, and premium comics. You can browse by popular genres, which helps when you already know whether you want romance, fantasy, action, BL, or another story type. As a result, the app works for both quick reading sessions and longer story discovery.

Originals and known titles: Tapas includes Tapas Originals along with recognized titles listed in the app information, such as The Beginning After the End, Solo Leveling, A Business Proposal, Heartstopper, and Moving. You can use these titles as starting points if you prefer stories that already have a visible reader base. After that, related lists and collections can help you move toward similar comics and novels.

Daily chapters and free episodes: Tapas updates stories with new chapters daily, so readers can return often to continue ongoing series. The app also offers exclusive free episodes that drop every three hours, which gives you a regular way to check for available reading without paying for every episode. This setup is useful if you follow several series at once and want to plan short reading breaks during the day.

Wait Until Free access: Tapas uses a Wait Until Free system for selected episodes. You wait for the timer to finish, then unlock the next episode for free when it becomes available. This gives patient readers another path through serialized stories, while still keeping the reading flow tied to each title’s release and access rules.

Reader perks and creator publishing: Tapas offers app based perks such as Gift Passes, free Ink, bonus Ink, weekly Fortune Cookies, and notifications for favorite series. These items can help you manage access to selected episodes and keep track of stories you follow. In the same service, creators can publish comics or novels and connect with readers, which makes Tapas useful for both reading and sharing serialized work.

User Reviews of Tapas:

I have been using this app for years and I never even thought of uninstalling tapas. But for two weeks, there's no gifts and weekly inks in the inbox. Using weekly inks is how I read every comics I subscribed and I can't check it over the following days because of it expiring after 24 hours. Please do something about this.

I've been using this for a while and it's really good you can read lots of series and they give a way to make ink constantly through events so you don't have to spend money if you can't and also some can be unlocked with ads if you really can't wait for next day but most of the waiting times would at 24hr wait for next ep which is quite decent imo. If you haven't downloaded an app to read lots of series you should install it!

Peak app would rate 10/10 but i wish they could atleast just focus on ads not on payments im just broke so... I have no choice to go to pirated sites i don't mind watching ads to watch a single chapter i just wish they lighten up on the payment thingy i really wanna support the authors and creators of these manwhas also the fact when i scroll the bar thingy pops up and it becomes really annoying like REALLY ANNOYING is visually disturbing me.

Great app. Amazing artists. Beautiful stories. Fascinating art. I do have complaints, but they're nothing -major-. Most of the comics cost, some of them more than the others, which is fine. They rely on our support. Some comics have an option to wait for a free chapter. Tapas has created a system for free currency. My issue is that although there are options to invite friends, play games, watch ads and fill surveys — i almost never have any available and if i do, it's two ads.

FAQs of Tapas:

I purchased Ink but didn’t get it?

Purchases are usually delivered instantly, but sometimes may take longer. If there’s a delay, it means the purchase is still pending or being processed, and you don’t need to try purchasing the same pack again.Instead, there are a few other things to try first.

Close and reopen the Ink Shop in Tapas to see if your balance refreshes.

Completely close (“kill”) and reopen the Tapas app, then check your balance in the Ink Shop again.

Review your purchase history to confirm whether or not the transaction was actually completed. You can log in to payments.google.com to check your Google Play purchase history. For iTunes, you can follow these instructions.

If you were charged, check your Tapas Transaction History to see if the coins were already added. You can find your Transaction History in the Tapas app under Settings, or on the Tapas website by clicking on your Ink balance.

Wait 24 hours to see if the transaction was delayed temporarily, and then try launching Tapas and checking your balance in the Ink Shop again.

I spent Ink on accident! Can I get it back?

We know it be frustrating to change your mind after spending Ink unlocking episodes of a series that turns out to not be your favorite - especially if you're just trying to grab a free-timer episode or save up for something specific – but unfortunately, we are unable to return Ink that is used to unlock episodes or given to support creators.

We've tried to make using Ink to unlock episodes and support creators easy and intuitive, without introducing unnecessary steps to get in your way. This has worked very well in limiting accidental spending for most people.

Because episodes unlock instantly and the support you send is immediately added to the balance of the creator (the artist, author, or publisher), we are unable to re-lock episodes or un-give Ink. We see it as unfair to the creators who received that support, as well as to other readers who unlocked and read the episode by buying or earning Ink. To us, it's like taking money back out of the tip jar at your favorite cafe, or returning a book after you've read it.

My bonus Ink disappears when I try to tip someone!

Bonus Ink may not be used for tipping.

Ink bought in the Ink Shop or earned by completing other special offers may be given as support, but bonus Ink received for signing up, inviting friends, or in gifts may only be used to unlock episodes.

When viewing the Ink Shop or when trying to support a creator, tap/click the (?) next to your balance for a breakdown of Ink bought and earned, versus bonus Ink.

How Do I Purchase Episodes for a Series Being Removed?

When a series is being removed, we will always post an announcement on the series page notifying you that any previously purchased episodes will remain in your Library, however, any episodes you haven't purchased will no longer be available to be viewed! So if you're looking to bulk-unlock your favorite chapters so that you won't miss out if your favorite series is taken down from our platform, you've come to the right place!

It's important to keep in mind that this series may have free preview episodes listed at the beginning of the series. These episodes are free to read and do not need to be unlocked using INK, WUF, or the Watch Ad feature. However, this also means that these episodes will not be a part of your Library once the series is removed unless you unlock them!

Once a series is announced to be removed, these preview episodes will be made available to purchase so users can complete their collection once the series is unavailable on our platform. You will have 7 days to purchase any episodes you haven't already purchased yet, including these preview episodes if you'd prefer!

Conclusion:

Overall, Tapas serves as a versatile tool for both readers and creators, offering a rich and interactive environment that combines entertainment with community engagement. By leveraging its robust features and user-centric design, Tapas aims to provide a satisfying experience for those interested in digital media and storytelling.
