Requires a Pro Infinity, Pro Subscription, a Plus Controller License. Some of the USB Controllers are bundled with a Limited Edition of VirtualDJ (included in the box for free).

External Analogue DJ mixers

Requires a Pro Infinity, Pro Subscription or an Analogue Mixer Plus Controller License.

Turntables and/or Professional CD Players with timecode vinyl and CD (DVS system).

Most sound cards, providing that they are WDM compliant or have ASIO drivers on PC, or are CoreAudio compliant on Mac.

No License is required to use any sound card. However, some Audio configurations (such as Line Inputs or External mixer Setups) may only be available with a Pro Infinity/Pro Subscription or selected Home Plus Licenses.

Q: Can i install VirtualDJ to more than one computer ?

The End User License Agreement (EULA) allows you to have the software installed on up to two computers at any one time, providing that they are both for your own personal use and will not be used simultaneously (E.g: Second installation as a backup or for practicing at home is OK, allowing a friend or another DJ to use it is NOT allowed.)

You may also uninstall the software from an old computer and then install it onto a new computer.

NOTE: If you intend to sell, give away or dispose of an old computer, you must remove VirtualDJ from it first (Except if the computer is no-longer functional.) To do this, follow the instructions for performing a clean re-installation of the software, stopping at the point where it tells you to download and re-install VirtualDJ again.

NOTE: If you need more than two installations (with a different person) working at the same time, then you will can purchase additional licenses to allow this.

Q: How can I update my VirtualDJ to the latest available version/build ?

Since VirtualDJ 8, a new automatic online updating system has been introduced.

Every time the software is launched and your computer is connected to the Internet, VirtualDJ will silently connect to our servers, search for any available updates and download those as a background process.

Once the updates are downloaded, you will be notified and prompt to accept and apply (or not). Click on Changelog to see what features and improvements this new update offers.

By choosing Yes, your software will be automatically updated to the new build/version and will auto-relaunch after that.

By choosing No, your software will keep using the last used version/build that you had installed in your computer, and will notify you again next time you launch the software.

The downloaded updates are saved in your computer.

Q: How can i update my VirtualDJ if my computer cannot connect to the Internet?

In case your computer cannot be connected to the Internet (e.g. your computer is at the club with no Internet connection ability or you wish for any reason to keep your computer away from the Internet for security reasons), you can still update VirtualDJ manually.

Use a computer that you can connect to the Internet and download the latest available build

Note: Even though every new update has been previously tested by our Beta Team, we highly recommend not to use new updates unless a fair test has been made on your side as well, to ensure that your Hardware (computer, sound card, dj gear) works as expected.
