I have to stop yapping so much... These words could go onto the paper!

I truly hope you all enjoyed 0.7! The train keeps on training. Whatever the saying is.

I spent the first week of this dev log cycle planning out 0.8's content. As always it's a loose plan, because I'm sure I'll come up with some interesting ideas while I'm in the zone writing it!

I've also been toying with the idea of creating smaller releases, so you all get content at a more regular interval. How do we all feel about that? In the grand scheme of things, the content per-time period would be the same, just a release more often. I'm almost dead set on it. Because more regular releases increases the viewability of the game, and then more players know about it. I think it's incredibly important for growth (And my ADHD craving attention). But, I'm always open to hear what you have to say, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll change my mind, I just think it'd be healthy to discuss this as a community. :)

I've also decided it's high time that I make a prologue. Since when I started, I had no idea how to do anything, let alone story flow. So, I think a short prologue will smooth over what the game's about, and help build the world some more! It will be included with 0.8's release.

All in all, progress is going smoothly. 0.8 won't be included in that smaller-release idea. It'll be after it, because there is a lot to get through, and more to come!

The premise of That New Teacher is that we have lost our job and in our search for something new, a very interesting job opportunity presents itself to us. We take a job at this new school and while “teacher” is in the title, our job at this school is that of the enforcer and we basically are the ones who are dealing with the discipline at the school. The twist here is that this school has a rather interesting discipline procedure in that anything can go, we are talking a hardcore spanking to a hardcore banging!

Now, this is kind of weird, but That New Teacher manages to pull it off as I found the writing in the game to be pretty solid. The young ladies have interesting personalities and that does make you question some of the things that you are doing to them. Or, on the flip side of it, you can be the ultimate disciplinarian and do what you want to these girls to keep them in their place as well as get your rocks off. There is also a cuckolding mechanic in the game where you are the bull, but this option is very easy to ignore if you prefer.

I will say that That New Teacher is a pretty straightforward lewd visual novel as far as the gameplay here goes. The game is a bit on the linear side, but I did think that the choices I got to make did feel like they had some major weight to them. Plus, there are a few set paths that the story can go so while for the most part, you are going where the writer wants you to go, at the very least there are multiple somewhat linear paths. The game is more interested in telling a good story than making sure the player has a button to click every minute and I am honestly more than ok with that.

The presentation of That New Teacher is pretty solid. I liked the college/school setting and the character designs are certainly unique that is for sure. Some of the girls have very interesting makeup designs which at first I thought was super weird when I saw it in the screenshots, but when you play the game, it does make sense. There are some nicely animated sex scenes here too that serve as a good reward for your progress. Now, some of the girls do look a bit on the young side and this is something I am usually sensitive towards, but they do all at least look 18.
