I do not want to get too into the story here, but overall Island SAGA has the main story arc that I thought was pretty cool. In a land where the king has no sons only daughters, you are potentially going to marry one of his daughters and be king one day. To prove your worth, the king sends you to an island where you must complete a series of tasks to prove you are worthy of not just his daughter, but ruling his kingdom. It is fun stuff and there are some interesting characters along the way, plus there is not just one daughter for you to try your luck with!

I really like what they have done with the visuals of Island SAGA. The gameplay is done in your typical top-down RPG maker style that you would expect. There is a lot of charm to the visuals and the little pixel characters have a ton of personality to them. The game world that they have used here is great too. It really does look like a SNES game or even a 32-bit PlayStation RPG.

There are also some fantastic sex scenes in the game, but there are not as many as you would think. It can go quite a while in-between lewd scenes, but I am fine with that. These are animated and the quality of them is very high.

The questing system is pretty basic in Island SAGA and I have heard that a few people are not too impressed with it. I have to say that I think it is fine. You have the main quest arc that you are working through of course, but there are many other side quests that you can do as well. These tend to be fetch quests more often than not, but they are not bad. The only thing I am not too keen about in regards to the questing is that you cannot do two quests at once. If you have two active and you complete one, it just stops the other one! Make sure you do one quest at a time!

I had a lot of fun with the combat system in Island SAGA. You have a party of five and your main input when it comes to the combat is picking the order that your five team party is in on the battlefield. Characters can use any weapons or magic abilities, but the more they use one the better skilled they get at it. It makes you want to make sure you have characters using different weapons and magics so you have a better balanced party.
