Looks the same as Wrestling Empire but doesn't play the same. This game has less move sets but has more tactics, you can't blindly jump into an offensive without a plan. There are now options for matches with rounds and breaks to recuperate between rounds. Most of the fights are about getting an upper-hand in a grapple. The AI is much better compared to Wrestling Empire, every fight needs a plan of approach, this game is more of a serious take on Wrestling Empire.Career mode is the same as what you would expect in any boxing game, you climb the ranks to claim the title across 5 promotions with different weight categories and a female category. You can also play as a promoter booking matches - I haven't tried this mode, but I guess it would be more or less like in Wrestling Empire. It's an OK game, you can give it a shot if you wanted a serious version of Wrestling Empire and the pricing is cheap too.

This is essentially a stripped down mobile version of wrestling empire ported back to PC. My boy matt dickie cannot for the life of him figure out how to make a functioning camera but that's okay because we love his games anyway. I miss being able to roam around backstage and throw my rivals in front of oncoming trains, but when it comes to action in the ring I actually like this over wrestling empire--you can set a fighter's preferred strike type as "random" and then just press one button to unleash wildly unpredictable combos, I feel like I know what I'm doing and want to do while grappling/submitting, and promoter mode makes sense to me as it excludes the world map / territory system from wrestling empire and just focuses on the cards and fight rules. For $6 I cannot recommend this game enough, it is an absolute steal.

Every Mdickie game is worth picking up and this title is no exception. WWMMA is great, it's fun, and it has a bit of a learning curve to it, but once you've got it down, say goodbye to boredom. You are not getting UFC quality graphics here, but what you're getting is quite possibly better controls and game play, more fun, and plenty to do, at about a quarter of the price. HIGHLY recommended!!!
