Happy 2025! Did you know if you make a bunch of spoilers then they spoil things if you share them? That’s right! I have been hard at work screwing through code that I often haven’t fully understood in addition to cobbling and editing together random images and sounds from the deepest crannies of the internets to ensure the most insane Pokémon experience! And I can’t show you 90% of it. Except for this.

That's Cerulean! And you may notice it looks terrible! That's because I just started on it and haven't gotten away from the vanilla map in Fire Red/Leaf Green/Wet Blue! But it indicates an important thing- I'm now working on Misty-land!

Now, some of you may think: Hey, you’re at Cerulean. That means the game is almost done, right? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Very much like in real life, you cannot just walk up to a girl and talk to her. But it does signify that this game has passed the 50% completion mark (including the demo), which means we’re on the downslope. Admittedly, we're slightly behind my initial estimated schedule by a few weeks (Christmas is not good for dev) but I'm still making good progress towards a 26-month completion goal.

Anyway, I would just like to thank everyone once again for your support with the demo. It's been 3.5 months since the last update, which were a bit rough at points personally but have now balanced out quite nicely. That said, it was refreshing during this time just to see that something I had done was bringing happiness to many different people. So thank you all for receiving this so well and I hope I can continue to make you laugh with the final product.

Conclusion:

This game is a parody dating sim of the original Pokémon games/anime as reinterpreted through Pokébeach’s 2008 interview with Masamitsu Hidaka, the director of the original anime. There, Hidaka stated that they did not have plans to bring Misty back to the anime at that time. This was admittedly because they changed out the girls and slapped them into bathing suits to keep boys interested with new eye candy. This game therefore is something of Misty’s revenge for this. It is set a few years before the forgotten Myutsuu no Gyakushuu trailer, where Nintendo had Ash sire Misty’s child and then abandon both of them for his Pokémon journey.
