I am giving this game five stars (for now). I usually avoid these kinds of "multi-menu mess" games, but this one has hooked me. Exploration is easy, creating de facto weapons on the fly is nice, and armor can be repaired. But, this game has a lot of bugs. Most are not game killers, but bugs are ruining my ability to kill the rock monster "Edie" in the plains area. Bugs have him coming and going and ruining precious "activators" needed to trigger him. I am afraid to try him again.A combo of Adventure/Survival RPG. Graphics are great, very colorful, lush and aesthetically pleasing environment, character customization is great (you can make distinctive characters), combat and movement is fluid - you use a wooden shield to "slide" forward and you attack nearest enemy then automatically rush to next one. You start in a cave with nothing, but easily find materials to craft things, food and a premade shield (an essential tool). Then, begin your adventure and explore the world.

Fresh, fun, and a sign of relief. I came into this game with an open mind and was wildly rewarded as I was unsure what type of game this was at core going in. The tutorial stage was loose and didn't overwhelm or outstay it's welcome. The storymode did a great job of showing instead of telling you the mechanics and world view without limiting you. The combats and controls are a little clunky but the trade off is well worth it. Enjoy a rpg where you are someone special and create the world!!
