Enacting Storyline

At the start of the game, our protagonist resembles Qbert, wandering the map until he finds something that can be called a holy sword. When he grasps the sword, a strange power seems to flow into his body. A new hero is born. Sounds like something out of The Legend of Zelda, doesn't it?

No. It turns out the weapon is cursed, and its wielder is also under a deadly spell. This means your character only has one minute to explore the map. Afterwards, he seemed to faint and was magically transported home.

Now, you hold this cursed sword in your hand, and there's no way to break the curse except by finding a way to do so. Therefore, we embark on an unknown adventure, where you'll have the opportunity to explore a miniature world full of exotic charm.

Brilliant Gameplay

Farming – Use the useful tools in your chest to start cultivating the land in front of your house. Buy seeds from the merchant and plant them in the soil. Water them regularly so they will germinate and grow quickly. After harvesting your crops, you can do whatever you want with them. You can sell them to earn extra coins, give them to others to increase your relationship with them, or even eat them to restore health.

Mining – The mine is the best place for you to start mining ores and minerals. Use these materials to create all sorts of things.

Gathering – Finally, you can also gather valuable items through gathering. Just prepare your pickaxe.

Always happy to pay for an *actual* game on my phone instead of the ad-ridden freemium baloney this platform is routinely infested with. Especially when it comes from Devolver Digital. The only downsides to this one are the touchscreen controls aren't terribly precise (naturally) and the black & white graphics aren't best for showing what something is or what needs to be done in a time-sensitive game as this. Still, great to play in short bursts. Hope to see more from Devolver on mobile!

The concept is unique and yet it brought back so many memories of Zelda Link's Awakening and Survival Kids. It has this sense of planning; you have to be meticulous and think ahead to do things within the time limit. The time limit makes the small world feel bigger and very quickly yours. The game manages to deliver a message through its plot but also through its main mechanic which shows videogames can be a form of art. Not everyone will enjoy it but it is a very special game Indeed!

I am really enjoying the game. The balance of exploring and time trial is great. I always find on-screen controls awkward, and these are no exception. It's a little more obvious in this game with a sense of urgency. Overall, a great game, and I think it was money I would have spent.
