Use Auto-Play when collecting resources: To save time, you can just press auto-play to gather resources. But you should only do this when you’re in the base as you don’t want others to attack you when you’re vulnerable. But with this option turned on, you won’t have to worry about anything, your character will run to the nearest trees, collect resources and do it all for you.

Craft more than 2 chests for storage: Surviving in this harsh environment requires you to be prepared always. That’s why you should craft 2 chests to store all your weapons and other items. This way, even if you die in a strange place, your weapons and items are still safe. As opposed to carrying them all in your rucksack which has a very high risk of being stolen.

Keep your eye on the mini-map: The mini-map helps you determine where you are and other resources are. Aside from that, it helps you be aware of your surroundings. Always look on the mini-map as they show enemies (arrows) that are nearby. Use this to your advantage by either preparing to attack or flee the scene. Also, thanks to the mini-map, you can find dead enemies so you can loot their items as well as chests.

Run in fog-covered areas when collecting resources: When you go outside to collect items, make sure to go to fog-covered areas as these are safe places. Get your resources as fast as you can and return to your base whenever possible.

Arm your character before participating in any event: From time to time, there will be special events nearby where you can get valuable items for a short period of time. Before heading into the place, make sure you equip your character with the best weapons and armors you got. This will make it easy for you to ward off enemies and collect valuable items that you can use. Store all the items you collect in a peasant’s chest so don’t lose them when you’re killed in another territory.

Great graphics and storyline and a great feel to it. It's clear the developers have done agreat job but there's something about the gameplay that is off. I want to like it, I keepplaying it, but in the end it's a grindfest. Your constantly just crafting minimal tools andarmor to gather materials in hopes of upgrading but upgrading is so costly it's almost notworth doing as everything wears out so quickly. To upgrade your backpack requires ahigh level and is relatively costly in materials and making a bow (a relatively basicweapon) is almost impossible too as you can't craft a bowstring, you have to be luckyenough to find it. You also can't craft a harness, saddle or trough for your horse - youneed to find those too. These and other "special" items are hard to come by even if youare able to survive random events.I was a fan of Last Day on Earth as well and reached asaturation point as well, it seems that Grim Soul grows more tedious and feels like achore after awhile.I understand the developers need to make this more of a challengeand you don't want to make it too easy but something has to be done to balance out thegameplay somehow. If I'm level 65 but running around naked with2 staffs and a pile ofbeef jerky because I need a week to gather materials ten something is wrong. Maybe it'sme?

Wow okay first of all this game is amazing. I love the difficulty and it makes the momentswhen you take down a boss so much more satisfying. A few notes I have. While I do reallyenjoy the difficulty I feel like the game has some pacing issues in terms of the campaignstory stuff. The bird cage quests are way too hard based on a persons level. This leads tosome weird pacing issues where I am able to knock out a few of the quests over a daybut then am grinding my levels for months until I am powerful enough to take on certainenemies. I am also concerned about the amount of pay to play I see within the game. Ihave been playing for about2 years off and on and I am still fairly early into the game.This is without paying a single dime. I think it's frustrating for a lot of players who don'twant to pay to see all of these different ads promoting weapons when they just died andlost all of their stuff they worked so hard to get. I realize the app needs to make money Ijust think changing the way monetization is done may help the app. Besides my problemsI still really love this game!!! For some reason I haven't been able to join a clan and I wishthe players I see in the forest were actually real players and not just bots.

This game so far seems one sided. Runs very well and the mechanics are on point butthe level of difficulty is way out of balance. That's fine and all that you lose your stuffwhen you die but as a beginner with limited weapons, I can only fight one mob before Ihave to heal so I can fight again. Let's not forget how almost impossible it is to maintain asource of food to heal because of this. I've had to run around and collect berries just toheal so I can continue to play and wait until the next day so I could get the holiday caketo heal to full health. Why make bandages available only at level 15? This seems odd as abasic bandage should be available right at level one so we can keep playing for morethan 15 minutes at a time. All this goes to my title "pay to win." You got to buy weaponsand gear to be able to play... but don't die or you've potentially lost your spendings.Please lower the difficulty just a little bit but not too much so that it's too easy. Just giveus a way to be able to heal on a more consistent basis so we can keep exploring. I'm level15 now and still using the basic club, it's still better than what I can craft based on mydps and the dps of the mob, this needs fixed for sure. It's also quite quite annoying thatit takes a stack of20 wood to make 5-7 steaks (forgot the exact number) and it alsotakes forever to cook!!5 stars for giving us what I've mentioned.
