Naruto Clash of Ninja

Naruto: Clash of Ninja is an action game based on the Naruto anime series. Players can freely choose from many familiar anime characters to begin their competitive journey.  With smooth on-screen controls, players can unleash various combos to defeat their opponents, winning arena battles and earning rich rewards. The key to victory in Naruto: Clash of Ninja lies in anticipating your opponent's moves and mastering the timing of skill releases. Each character has unique gameplay mechanics waiting to be discovered, providing players with a fresh and engaging experience.

Gameplay:

Moving

In this game, your character can Towards opponent walk forward, Away from opponent walk backward, Towards opponentTowards opponent dash, Away from opponentAway from opponent backstep,  jump,  double-jump, and sidestep with  or  when you're not being attacked.

Starting with Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4, you can now sidestep while dashing, making this a very safe maneuver.

In Naruto Shippuden: Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 onward, your character is temporarily invulnerable when sidestepping and back-dashing.

Blocking

Blocking, or "guarding" in the Clash of Ninja titles is very easy: you can either hold away from the opponent Away from opponent or do nothing (don't touch Control stick or buttons)

Blocking isn't free, however: every character has a finite value of how much they can guard (represented both in the guard gauge and by the color of the hitsparks when blocking: blue when full, then yellow, then red) and when this value has been depleted, your character's guard will break (represented by an animation and a "shattering" sound) and your character will be temporarily defenseless.

Something to keep in mind is that all characters' (except  CS2 Sasuke) Away from opponent very briefly have guard frames on startup. If they're hit during this point in the attack, this counts as a guard, and your character will continue to perform an attack.

This is known in fighting games as a reversal. If you can gauge when your opponent will attack and perform a Away from opponent just in time, they might think you're capable of reading minds!

Attacks/Combos

Attacking is extremely easy in this game:  does a regular attack (a punch or kick of some kind) and  has your character use either a weapon or some other type of jutsu attack.

When you're standing on the ground, you can vary your techniques by inputting one of 4 directions (technically, 5 if you count leaving the stick stationary) before hitting an attack button.You can also do a dash attack (hit an attack button while dashing Running)

Air attacks also exist in this game, however they don't vary as much as your options are either  or . Some characters do have aerial Secret Techniques, but we'll cover that later.

Every character in this game has a set number of premade combos - which are performed by putting together what we've discussed so far in this section: a directional input and a series of buttons.

I wasn't kidding when I said "throw out your idea of typical fighting game combos": even a beginner, just picking up the controller for the first time can effortlessly execute a multi-hit combo. This is truly the charm of the Clash of Ninja series.

However, that said, as tempting as it may be, in order to improve, you don't want to mash out  and  like a madman. Rather, the timing is what's essential to keeping an advanced combo string going: you'll need to learn when to appropriately delay inputs, otherwise you'll drop the combo. It's crucial to learn your character's attack properties and the timings on inputs in order to become a better player. You can also use portions of preset combos instead of the full things that allow you to create longer and more efficient combos. Creativity is the big thing here.
