Useful Tips:

Make sure you pick up everything people give you after cut scenes.

Double tap the move button to run. Don't forget!

If you get used to the movement and can dodge enemies, upgrade your attack first, otherwise get some health until you feel comfortable.

Kill everything around you before you pick up treasure chest items. Sometimes there's a mini cut scene that you can't skip and you'll still get attacked by enemies.

Remember to use the healer huts.

Make sure to touch the teleporters if you see them even if you aren't going to use it right away.

You can deflect most enemies projectiles (like turtle cannons and some bosses attacks).

Buy the weapon and fire trinket from the shop.

You will receive three trinkets throughout the game. I use fire damage for the weapon (to do more damage), shadow trinket for my armor (to regenerate health), and ice trinket for my spells (to freeze enemies from afar)

Make sure you find the weapon in one of the secret chests.

Buy the magic armor as early as you can.

Wow. Best game I've played on my phone. It's just the right mix for me (challenging/easy,fun, gameplay, visuals, audio). When I finished it and saw the short list of credits, I waseven more impressed. 3people: Programming, Graphics, & Music. That's it!'ve played itthrough several times since then. Not a single bug/glitch (I thought I found one when I hit99% on a playthrough, but there was one house I hadn't visited). For an extra challenge, Itried to get as far as I could with the original sword and no armor. Took me a while to getto the final boss (haven't beaten him yet). Fantastic game. I wish they made more (theirother game makes me dizzy, unfortunately).Buy the Coin Doubler if you don't like togrind. You'll pretty easily have the money when you need it. The Compass isn'tparticularly useful, but I'm still glad I paid for it, since these guys have well earned mymoney for the entertainment this game has brought me!

Swordigo has a lot of things going for it. As a combat-based metroidvania platformer onthe iOS App Store, it doesn't have a lot of competition. Yes, Dead Cells exists, but that'snot exactly free, is it? Plus, the combat is actually mostly fun and there are enoughinteresting battle conditions and unique enemies to keep it from getting stale. The gameis also short enough to not overstay its welcome yet long enough to give multiple hours'worth of enjoyment. The difficulty scaling also feels natural, with the only major difficultyspike being right at the final dungeon.Now that all sounds well and good, but why onlythree stars? Ads. So many ads. You'll see one every other loading screen and most gameovers, and almost all of them soak up at least15 seconds of your time. I used to play thisgame before it had so many ads, so seeing them now was jarring. There's also a lingeringfeeling of low quality visual design, and it's hard to ignore that most of the areas seem tobe on a floating island, though that doesn't fit anywhere in the world building. In addition,despite the quality of the combat, many of the bosses can be easily cheesed, whichmakes them a lot less interesting.Overall, I would definitely recommend this game if youcan stomach the ads (or can just go offline). You can grow to enjoy this game fairlyquickly, as I have. Just watch out for Snowbugs. They're TERRIFYING.
