Megabonk is pure chaos and energy. The music is SO awesome! It drives my whole runs hitting all my buttons. That beat makes everything feel so hyped and exciting, hahaaaaa. The core loop is insanely addicting. You start a run thinking youll just give it ten minutes and suddenly youve been trying to break the game for an hour.Highly recommended. Its loud, its silly and I love it! Megabonk is just stupidly fun and hard to put down.

So far, megabonk is one of the best bullet heavens i have played. The gameplay is fun and easy to understand, and there are enough characters to keep you busy, alongside challenges and unlocks.There are a lot of items in the game (probably more to come as well) which can work and synergise together to get you the best runs, however, there are some issues with this game.The main objective of the game is to climb the ranks on the leaderboard, but the current meta is horrible and consists of runs which literally take days to complete, meaning that anyone who isnt fully committed to megabonk probably wont get within the top 100. Granted it is quite a large game, but more skill should be involved in my opinion, as most runs rely on playing fox for their luck boost or starting with a soul harvester and green card to get the most luck and damage early on. I understand its a common trope with games of its genre, and its early on in its development, but i feel as though locking people who want to get on the leaderboards behind day long runs is a bit unreasonable.

If you enjoy bullet heavens/hells, I would definitely recommend megabonk to you, as its one of the best you will probably find. Its got its own unique artstyle, humor and music, which all add to its charm and make it stand out from others.Another pro is that updates are still being released, with new items and balance changes, and im hoping many more maps and mechanics will be introduced to shake up the meta a bit.The achievements are mostly reasonable, with the majority being unlocks and some being challenge completions. I hope in future updates newer graphic settings are introduced, as the game begins to run very slow once reaching high times.Overall an amazing game and definitely worth a shot.

A great game for some mindless fun. The silly humour accompanied by similar gameplay to that of Risk Of Rain 2 (which i adore) makes it easy to lose a couple hours quickly as you try and get a good run. The characters are funny and the retro sounding soundtrack is pretty cool. I definitely think its worth the price and something you could lose a LOT of hours on.Despite my positive review I will say that there does some to be some imbalance with scaling as you progress. It can be really frustrating to have a powerful build then that basically means nothing as you progress as it becomes almost too relentless with bullet sponge bosses and insane hoards of enemies that stop me in my tracks. I do understand thats the point but regardless of different builds / runs i feel set up to fail sometimes. But it wont stop me from trying again and again and again.
