Hex: Becoming a Succubus is a story-driven casual game where players become a succubus, possessing a young girl to embark on a legendary magical adventure. Players will learn various spells, restore their magic power through intimate interactions with diverse characters, explore the world, earn gold and reputation to improve their status in the city, and experience a sensual journey. Hex: Becoming a Succubus is currently under continuous development and updates, constantly adding new characters, story events, and intimate scenes, while also optimizing text errors and enhancing graphics to maintain the game's high quality.

Gameplay of Hex: Becoming a Succubus:

Spells are the main means of attack. Spells cost varying amounts of MP, with stronger spells typically costing more MP. Many spells can inflict auras on the caster or the target. Some spells can convert auras of one type to another, or enhance damage or other effects based on auras.

Spells can be quite complex; rarely does a spell simply do damage. You can read a spell's details before casting it by clicking the question mark (?) button next to the spell's name. Spells can deal any type of damage except for grudge.

Each spell in the game belongs to a school. Schools have to be equipped in the gear menu to be used in combat. You can equip up to two schools, giving you access to six total spells. Schools have mastery ranks which are increased by using the spells in that school during combat. Each rank provides a permanent passive bonus. Mastery rank also reduces the MP cost and increases the critical hit rate of spells in that school.

There are five schools of magic currently available in the game as of v0.1.3α:

Black Magic: Focused on sustained damage and damage over time, but capable of high damage with good aura management. Low MP costs for sustained damage make this a staple school to invest in. Works well with most other magic schools.

Dryad Magic: Strange school of magic that summons and controls plants to deal physical damage. Has high MP costs, but boasts high burst damage, can buff physical damage, and offers emergency healing. Pairs well with black magic for consistency and aura management, and with sky magic to offset the high MP costs.

Lunar Magic: Good for slaughtering undead and controlling the flow of battle. Overall high MP costs relative to damage output. Lunar magic is enhanced at night, and it's power waxes and wanes slightly with the moon. Pairs well with curse magic and sky magic.

Sky Magic: Imbued aura recharges the caster's MP, giving this school a good utility. Decent damage output. Rainy weather enhances the power of certain spells. High burst damage with proper aura management. Pairs well with holy magic for defensive play, or primal magic for offensive play.

Holy Magic: Utility magic for hindering enemy spellcasters. The sanction aura allows enemy spells to be countered and dispelled. High initial burst damage, but damage output drops off quickly. Pairs well with sky magic for aura management and lunar magic to control and hinder enemies of all sorts.

Changelog:

In Serpent's Spiral, get ready to make some babies! Okay, well, not really. You'll actually get pregnant with and give birth to little critters called spirit kin, but the idea is the same. In addition to becoming a mommy, Iris can also become a bit of a dommy as she gets to know the new character Despoena, who she can recruit as a glorified maid. Despoena is a massive bottom, and you'll need to reward and punish her appropriately to keep her on the straight and narrow. Also included are new cosmetics, events, skits, skills, and more!

[Story] Added the new quest: [Holy Magic Arc: Serpent's Spiral]. Complete [Holy Magic Arc: A Warm Welcome] and the "rough night" event with Lloyd, then speak to Lloyd to start this quest.

[Locations] During the quest [Holy Magic Arc: Serpent's Spiral], you'll unlock the ability to freely travel to the port town of Richdon. This location will be further developed in the future, but there's nothing unique to do here yet.

[Activities]

Pregnancy, birth, and spirit kin systems added! You can learn the spell Matronalis which can be used to toggle Iris's fertility. Once fertile, Iris can then get pregnant by having vaginal sex with males. Her odds of getting pregnant are influenced by a variety of factors, including the time of the month (hint: check the moon). Once pregnant, she will carry a spirit kin to term and then birth it. Spirit kin can be interacted with in the throne realm.

The new character Despoena can now live with you at the abandoned chapel if you meet certain conditions. You can reward or "correct" Des, and make her dress up as a maid or even do her work nude. Des has a special "obedience level" mechanic you can manage.

[Cosmetics] New outfits.

New outfit: Serpent's Garb and premium variant. This elegant outfit can be acquired during the quest [Holy Magic Arc: Serpent's Spiral].

New outfit: Dommy Duds. This dominatrix-style outfit can be purchased from the seamstress after you meet certain conditions.

You can buy a maid outfit for Despoena at the seamstress if she joins you at the chapel. She will only wear it if she's obedient enough.

Broodmare: Dramatically increases the odds of pregnancy occurring when fertile.

Speed Breeding: Shortens the time it takes a pregnancy to advance to each stage.

[Interface] Some additions, changes, and QoL improvements.

Adjusted the text color of Meila and the throne realm servant's dialogue to improve readability.

Added a new section to the character status menu tab (hotkey: A) that shows various long term or ongoing statuses, like your level of cleanliness, your manner of dress, lactation, pregnancy, etc.

Added key binds for the counter spell interaction. You can use either the number keys and numpad 1-5 (starting on the top left corner and going clockwise) or the keys A, S, D, X, and Z going in the same order. It may take a little getting used to, but it's something you can practice in the throne realm. You can see the key binds by pressing shift. You can also toggle them to always be visible in the settings.

In exploration zones, locations you've been to before will be designated with a checkmark (✓). This only means you've been there before, it doesn't mean there might not be more to do in a given place.

Balance and progression

[Combat] Minor balance adjustments

Made the counter spell interaction slightly easier by increasing the time limit for 4 and 5 sequence interactions.

Adjusted the damage of some primal magic spells. Mostly they have been nerfed, though most are still about the same strength as before with proper aura management.

[Progression] The level cap has been raised to 16.

Technical

[Engine] Various improvements and optimizations, as well as a few new features.

Added the ability to zoom, scale, rotate, and animate CGs. This new feature is currently only used in some scenes in Despoena's interactions, but I'll use these features more going forward!

Exposed more APIs to mods/plugins.

Improved how audio is selected and loaded.

Integrated the Steam SDK. A Steam version will certainly eventually be made, but I have no concrete plans right now.

Mod support improvements.

Added an "Asset Library" feature to the game's Scene Editor tool, but it's hidden for now and needs improvement, particularly in the executable build of the game.

I keep coming back to this game from time to time, It's simple yet very good.Great gameplay in both sex and combat, the story is also fun. Also, the story of the game changes depending on how well you do the combat too. It also has some voice acting when you do a perfect deflect, as your character will trash-talk the enemy, which is really great.And it also has an online multiplayer where you get to share your stuff !? I rarely see this in this kind of game.The writing is also great.I do miss some features from Succubus Stories, though, like crafting and selling stuff in the market; you can kind of do that in Hex, but it doesn't really have much gameplay.I can't wait for this game to be finished.

Wow, I just completed this game (v0.0.4 Alpha) and it's pretty good!The plot is 4/5. Based from the description, you already know how the plot is. To be honest the plot is generic. But to execute it further with proper flowchart to make it good is really tough, and this game did it well!Gameplay is a solid 4/5. Imo this is the appropriate rating for this game since it's in Alpha! There are plenty of combat mechanics, and even sex mechanics, so you have lots of neat options to choose from! Although there isn't a way to have sex with the enemies during combat (like with ghoul).Sex scenes are 4/5. Remember that this is in Alpha! The sex scenes, especially during the interactive ones are not that much. When you interact with the partner like kiss his cock or scissor her, the image is still the same. But I can see the potential in this game!Do you need to grind much? Not really. Because you can progress through the game easily from combat and prostitution which will give you benefits! It also becomes powerful when you unlock it with skill!Overall this game, even though in Alpha, is a solid 4/5!
