Play blind for the best experience.A beautifully made adventure/survival experience set within a large and varied underwater world full of interesting and exciting flora and fauna. Strong story elements prevent stagnation and boredom and lead the player to new and changing biomes. Whilst necessary for progression, the crafting and collection elements are minimal and without the repetition or slog of most open-world survival games. The player's hand isn't held too tightly - rather, exploration is encouraged, as the game requires you to investigate and piece clues together yourself.Don't read any more - if you're interested, just play it.

I have some kind of sick fetish for underwater or alien settings, this game combines them perfectly. I don't even like survival games, but this one is worth playing. Cruising around in a giant mobile base submarine and jumping into your docked mini ship to explore the depths below is peak gaming. Below zero is awful, the sequel is going to suck because the devs lost their passion, but THIS game is incredible. Get it. Mod it. Ignore the VR version. If something annoys you, there's a mod for it.

Yoiu can even attach a picture of your finest moment.Naturally, I took a picture of my characted rolling around in copious amounts of alien feces, and CRAMMED as much fecal material I could smear inside that capsule.Someone, somewhere, is now playing subnautica... and is about to open *THAT* capsule thinking "OH BOY, some rare resources!!!" followed with a "WHAT THE HECK?!?!?!"For that alone, I would highly recommend this game.(Especially if paired up with a mod allowing for multiplayer ability.)

9/10 game. why not 10/10? cause i got jumpscared by freddy fishbear who made me myself in a spooky cave. Trying not to get slapped silly by skeleton sharks when this fuggin huge glowing mario eel thing just shows up. i didnt see it untill i was under it. not a good place to get out and make repairs. thank fully my plasma ball gun froze it and i got a scan after shooting it 2-3 times. this was essentially my first encounter with a reaper.
