Drifting can also help with this, but having the accelerated button pushed down makes turning ten times more challenging.Constantly keeping your finger placed on the button may be something you'll do subconsciously, but it's good to get into the habit of removing your finger when turning down winding paths.

Riders Republic is a good game in spite of itself.There's an unskippable 45 minute long tutorial. Every single line of dialogue is atrocious. The music selection is pretty limited. Everything interesting for the character customization is locked behind a paywall. The trick system is straight up bad.If you crank the dialogue volume down to zero and get past the tutorial, you'll find a game with an incredible sense of speed and an absurd amount of ways to ride. Ride bikes downhill. Take a ski jump. Use a jetpack to soar through the sky. All of this can be done in one continuous run, as the game lets you swap equipment while playing. I've flown my jetpack at breakneck speeds towards a ramp, swapped to a bike, and before landing the jump, switched over to a big wheeled tricycle, because why not?There's an absolutely ludicrous amount of routes to ride, and every 30 minutes, a 64 player event can be joined that is utter chaos in the best ways.Pick it up on sale. Some of the equipment is DLC, and you'll have a better time if you pick some of it up. Also, skateboards are coming soon.

The gameplay is nice, almost exceptional. It's everything around it that's problematic. The world is beautiful, but the world building is so incredibly awful. Beautiful vistas are ruined by giant inflatable balloons floating around in the sky. Exploration is trivialised by a character calling you and telling you when there's something interesting nearby, with a big pop up on your map to further spoil the fun of it. The racing aspect is great but it's getting to a part when you're finally done being forced to sit through introductory cutscenes that is such an aggravating process I wouldn't blame anyone for refunding this in under 20 minutes. I shudder to think that every new player is going to be force-fed the same bland Ubisoft gruel that I had to suffer.This is a simulated world built for simulated Gen-Z adrenaline junkies. Specifically a boomer's idea of a Gen-Z adrenaline junkie. Every single character in this game is annoying and embarrassing, there is not a single redeemable personality present. I press pause and there's my guy acting like a man-child using his skis as pretend machine guns like Rambo, or using his snowboard as a pretend bazooka, and doing the weirdest poses on post-game screens. My character behaves like the kind of person I'd be instantly annoyed with the moment they came into my vicinity. All of the cosmetics I've seen are terrible. Again, a boomer's idea of what they think Gen-Z will consider fashionable. It's the "letting your child choose their outfit for a school day" but as a whole fashion style mixed with overbearing product and brand placements.

Recommending zen mode in this game because it helped me glide through a very difficult week I had.I was assigned to a really stressful project at work. It was the first time I experience height of anxiety and depression. I used to come back from office and open this game with Zen mode and for next hour I just used to snowboard or cycle through mountains. As I do like all the stuff IRL as well It provided me a short escape from all the anxiety. I highly recommend this game zen mode if you are looking for peace.
