Sonic Time Twisted

Sonic Time Twisted is a highly anticipated Sonic parkour adventure game where players control Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and other characters as they navigate eight zones, skillfully using six elemental shields and clever maneuvers to overcome traps and obstacles and earn rich rewards. As players progress through the levels, they will face increasingly difficult challenges. Show off your skills to succeed and earn likes from other players!

Gameplay of Sonic Time Twisted:

In Sonic Time Twisted, the player controls just as Sonic and co. play in the Genesis titles. Like in Sonic the Hedgehog CD, the player must use time poles (now adjusted to be instant) to travel through two different time zones, Past and Future. In the Past, Sonic must find the Special Stages and collect the Time Stones, while in the Future, Sonic must also find the Special Stages, however, these have the Chaos Emeralds. Beat all 14 Special Stages in each time zone (7 each) and the player will achieve the True Ending. Besides that, the player must traverse through 8 zones, most with 2 acts each, reach the Goal Post at the end, as well as encounter a boss at the end of the stage be it Metal Sonic or one of many loyal Super Badniks.Taking place in an alternate timeline, Sonic Time Twisted follows after the destruction of the Death Egg and the death of Dr. Robotnik. Metal Sonic returns from the Little Planet with a plan to resurrect his creator using an ancient alien technology, and takes charge of the Badniks to keep Sonic and co. at bay. Can Sonic, Tails and Knuckles collect the Chaos Emeralds and Time Stones to stop Metal Sonic before its too late?

Sonic the Hedgehog: Play as Sonic with all the moves from the Genesis/Megadrive games. Spindash, Super Peelout and Insta Shield are present in addition to shield powerup moves.

Miles "Tails" Power: Play as Tails with his ability to fly and attack enemies with his spinning tails.

Knuckles the Echidna: Play as Knuckles with the ability to glide and climb walls. Additionally Knuckles can now take out enemies at high speeds with his whirling arms.

Zones of Sonic Time Twisted:

Attraction Attack Zone an amusement park partially under the control of Dr. Robotnik in the future, but still under construction in the past.

Raging Ruins Zone ancient ruins from a civilizations of the past. See the ruins in all their glory in the past, while in the future the ruins are a backdrop for a great cityscape.

Viridian Valley Zone a lush green style zone, with a marina in the future and prehistoric jungle in the past.

Tidal Tubes Zone a water-themed level with lots of pipes for Sonic to travel around in. Race past futuristic buildings in the future, or pillage the pirate ships in the past. Inspired by the the canceled stage Perplex Puzzle and Sonic Zero's Tidal Tubes.

Frigid Fortress Zone an icey castle in the past and toxic frozen wasteland in the future. Warp around the future on Sonic and Knuckles bonus stage orbs, or explore the castle in the past.

Player Comments of Sonic Time Twisted:

Amazing, a lot of love and effort went into this and I love it. It's heavily inspired by sonic CD and it's obvious by it's gameplay, ideas, level design, mechanics, and story. The sprits are all handmade (as far as I can tell.)  Hard to believe it says it's still in development. (I haven't finished the game yet) I love it and everything, I love the idea of collecting the chaos emeralds and the time stones but the way of getting them sucks, this is my only complaint, the races kinda suck... They are difficult right off the bat and only get harder, hard to play on the touchpad and I don't like the motion control aspect of them. Yes the special stages did a few things right, mainly being able to retry at the cost of a life, (probably a balancing thing to help with the difficulty) and the fun idea of racing against metal instead of the basic collect or destroy things. I love this game, but, my last complaint is the level design, it feels like a fever dream (kinda like CD), but, that helps it feel unique as well. Love this game, keep up the good work!

This team clearly gets classic sonic. Even if their first go isn't as thrilling or polished as Triple Trouble 16-bit, I think it's a remarkable achievement. Not to pit it against other classic sonic fan-games, but they really know how to give their levels texture. yknow? Via stage gimmicks, wacky layouts and so on, they manage to make every level stand out and require some brain effort to clear. Are they still very piss easy? yeah, but they are engaging, and make me wanna replay them as opposed to all blending together in one big sludge. Shame there's no time-trial mode.

When I said I prefer playing bad games with good art than good games with bad/boring art, I think of this one... Because yes, the level design and bosses aren't exactly good, they can be very frustrating at times, but I'd still rather play this one than Advance 3... Even if I didn't bother getting the chaos emeralds and time stones. It's still fun overall though, I just wish it had the coin currency instead of lives. Again, the art and soundtrack are amazing, it's worth playing because of that alone.
