Excellent Storyline of 18 Mile Hike

In the 1970s, Baxter's grandparents and their friends created a secret storytelling society deep in the Appalachian Mountains. This society, largely based on the legendary tales of Mary and Percy Shelley, recruited only the most talented writers and performers, honing their skills and passing on their craft around a campfire. Whether they were local gems or an elite group depended on who you asked in town, but their performing skills were legendary in the eyes of the older generation of townspeople. By 2025, their grandchildren had revived the sport. They tried several times, but only achieved moderate success. Times were tough, they were all grown up, with their own plans and challenges. But their shared love of horror films always managed to reconnect them in various ways.

Bro...I was really scared! What the heck?! Why is it so scary?!

I love this new chapter!

I love this unconventional visual presentation of the text, switching between character dialogue boxes and full-screen text based on context. This brings a fresh feel to the visual novel experience while clearly distinguishing the characters' individual storylines and their interactions between stories. I also appreciate the short story collection format; it's almost like *Stories in the Dark*, with a framework narrative connecting the stories, but the connections aren't as forced as Ovid's *The Metamorphosis*. The character development through dialogue is also excellent from the start. While longer narrative gay horror novels like *Echo*, *Cienie*, or *Burrows* have their charm, I appreciate the segmented structure of this work more, so readers don't need to frequently revisit previous chapters to understand the latest content. Overall, this seems to be a very solid and tasteful gay horror work, and I look forward to what comes next. This summer, when it's impossible to sit around a real campfire, being able to snuggle around a virtual one and listen to the story of *18 Mile Walk* is a kind of solace.

I really enjoyed this game. That familiar street sent chills down my spine; that Canadian lynx on that street certainly didn't have it easy. Compared to typical RenPy visual novels, its plot is a bit chaotic because it's not easy to tell who's speaking (maybe I'm too used to that style, and sometimes it's actually quite obvious). Anyway, it's great to see you back with a new work!

This visual novel is really fun; it reminded me of the days when I loved reading horror stories. I love it so much and can't wait for an update!
