Dead World Heroes is a strategy tower defense game where players are placed in a zombie-infested post-apocalyptic world. From dozens of heroes, players recruit and strategically build different types of defensive towers, using upgrade items to strengthen their warriors and defend against relentless zombie attacks. Players can simultaneously control three heroes across dozens of campaign levels, battling various zombies and powerful bosses. Story of Dead World Heroes:

Located within America and its environs, Mike the mechanic and a team of other survivors try to find a better days in a post-apocalyptic world infested with the infected. In their attempt to do so they only found more problems, eventually fixing their drive to put an end to the zombie epidemic.

As practitioners each and every one of us should strive to be ordinary, if not extraordinary heroes. There is a group of ordinary people like you... Keep them alive now.

In the game, you meet and control heroes who eventually fight as a team to survive in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by barren and cruel zombies. Each hero has a unique and playable backstory.

The team travels from location to location with a bus, so the bus is greatly appreciated for them. However, the devil of technology never sleeps, the bus sometimes breaks down, but sometimes it runs out of gas. In such cases, our heroes must stand up when and where this happens. In this case, Mike, the mechanic, searches for parts and repairs the bus... but the zombies don't rest in the meantime either. It's still easy to fight them during the day. But when night falls, the zombies, and with them, the situation turns sour.

There are missions where, leaving the bus, they search for supplies in abandoned houses and, of course, constantly get involved in new and new adventures.

The arsenal of the team is very wide, as they progress, they get different support items, and power ups, as well as collect junks, which can be sold to improve their strength. Each zombie and each hero in the game has its own strengths and weaknesses. Before every mission, it is crucial that you can lead your survivors to victory with a customized deck.

Changelog:

Mike didn’t turn out to be the best design choice, so he’s been removed from the game.

He was too static and required little control, yet his presence burdened the gameplay, drawing unnecessary attention and making the game more difficult. Without Mike, there’s more room for focus and strategic thinking. Out of the remaining 3 survivors, 1 will always be working, but can be swapped based on the situation. This means only 2 characters need to be actively controlled in battles, which is a significantly better experience, especially on mobile.

All missions have been rebalanced due to Mike’s removal.

Yes, without Mike, everything feels a bit different, so I had to rethink the balance of power and enemies. For example, all 3 survivors used to attack enemies, but now that they take over Mike’s tasks, only 2 active fighters will remain in combat. The missions have been adjusted accordingly, but we’re still in the testing phase, so further fine-tuning may be needed.

Without Mike, tactical decisions are sharper, making the game more exciting with weightier choices.

Each situation is unique, and both enemies and characters have their own strengths and weaknesses. So, deciding who goes into battle and who works on tasks is critical. Depending on the situation, you may need to swap roles, bringing new tactical depth to the game. I hope you’ll enjoy this and that it enhances the overall experience.

Bus and Morale upgrade costs have been recalculated.

Mike is gone from the Garage too, and the green money that used to be spent on his upgrades has been distributed between the Bus and Jeff. Remember, Jeff is responsible for morale, so it’s worth upgrading him!

Roadblocks can now be smashed, making it look and feel way cooler.

The old progress bar display was a bit dull, and smashing roadblocks as a percentage process wasn’t too exciting. So, I’ve revamped this, and now all roadblocks can be smashed apart. Any character can break them down—just stand in the work area. But be careful: a working unit can’t fight. Survivors become defenseless while working, so make sure to protect them. Mike’s tasks have now been taken over by the characters: only one can work at a time, and they won’t defend while working, so be mindful of the new rules.

Biff has been adjusted to fit the new setup: he can buff working units, and the buff lasts longer.

Since any unit can now work, Biff has been adjusted so that his technical assist can be applied to any working survivor. This has also been fine-tuned, and the buff duration has been extended.

Several technical issues have been fixed.

Nothing too noteworthy, as I always tackle these with each update. One key highlight is that the consent policy screen has been revamped. The text is less legal-sounding and has a more humorous, entertaining presentation.

The early gameplay and tutorials have been updated to reflect these changes.

Naturally, these changes have impacted the early gameplay and learning curve, so I’ve revisited those sections. New tutorial screens have also been added as part of this revamp.
