The game is a 2D platformer which has the player sliding Leo through various levels. Leo can inflate and deflate like a balloon to navigate and solve puzzles. Each level has different collectibles to find, which are tracked for each level and give a score of one to three stars depending on how many were found. The game also features a handful of bonus levels that each have special objectives, like a race level with a timer or a level where Leo most collect every coin in one go. Once the game has been completed, a special Hardcore mode unlocks, where the entire game from start to finish must be beaten without dying. Finishing this mode rewards the player with a special skin that makes Leo red.The game consists of 5 acts (Fortune Lost, Cousin Victor's Loss, Aunt Olga's Fall, Uncle Sergej's Doom, and A Heart of Gold), which contain 20 levels and 4 bonus levels.

Leo is a renowned engineer, even being granted the title of "Grand Inventor of Greatest Engineering". However, one day his fortune was stolen by an unknown culprit. As he traversed the world, following the path of gold left behind, he considers the possibility of three of his family members being the culprit; Cousin Victor, Aunt Olga, or Uncle Sergej, due to all of them recently going through tragic losses, killing their ambitions.

At the same time, Leo notices he is being followed by The Steaming Apparatus, a mysterious, seemingly sentient machine that is meant to keep the world in order, but has strangely been releasing deadly thorns throughout the world. Near the end of his long journey, he discovers his relatives to be there. They had not taken his gold, but assisted the one who did. Leo continues up the path and into a factory, finding his wife Mathilda. She reveals that she had left years ago without Leo noticing, and decided to take Leo's gold because it took his kindness.

She points Leo to his fortune, while also noting the Apparatus requires pure metal to function. Leo is initially dismissive to her, but once he arrives, he comes to the realization of how he has been acting all these years, and finds the Apparatus is on the verge of death. Leo selflessly decides to give up his fortune to the Apparatus, reviving it and allowing the world to go back to normal. At the end, Leo meets up with Mathilda again, who recognizes his change in heart and offers to walk home with him.

Complete the Story and Collect all Golden Cogs: In this stage just focus on enjoying the story and getting a first feel of the different levels, their layout, traps, and most treacherous points. As you play through the story, make sure to collect the golden cogs hidden in some of the levels. Some levels do not have cogs. Most cogs require you to take a slight detour from the linear path of the levels, but they're still very easy to locate. Check out the directions under each collectible-related trophy for a quick reference and to learn the right steps to collect each cog efficiently. Each cog needs to be collected just once and the trophy unlocks right after grabbing it.

3-Star Playthrough: In this second stage your focus will be to collect the three stars on each level. You can learn about each star requirement in the trophy description for Silver Master of the world.After your first run you might have or might have not collected some of the stars already. In fact, each level can be immediately replayed after finishing it, so this, or part of it, might not necessarily be your second stage. Focus on those levels which you don't have three stars for yet and take advantage of this time to study/review the layout of each level, traps included, because this will be of paramount importance for the third and final stage.

Hardcore Run AKA No-Death Run: I wouldn't be fooling you if I told you that most players of this game decide not take on the challenge required by this stage. Just knowing what the requirements of this trophy are is already nerve-wrecking per se, but this is probably the stage that will determine whether you'll be able or not to gain 100% on Leo's Fortune. In fact, this stage requires you to replay the game one more time without ever dying. You need to be prepared and know the layout of each level and the patterns of the traps by heart before you attempt this stage, so my suggestion is to do a few practice runs, especially for those levels you have more trouble with. This stage will test your patience. You have been warned.

I've had this game for absolute years and just randomly downloaded it to my Android TV and used a PS4 controller to play it. I have absolutely fallen back in love with this little gem. With it being on a big screen and playing with a controller and not touch screen has definitely given me another and different experience. If you have this game on your phone try and connect a controller or play on a different device.

The most delightful game I ever played. It was very challenging! I almost gave up but I had come so far and decided to continue. I like that you have to come up with clever strategies to get through each stage. It got progressively harder but I maintained my composure and with persistance I made it. Some levels seemed impossible, especially having to jump to a high ledge but you had to angle the swinging bar just right. I could not stress out this game had a calming effect. I loved the story!

I've given this 5 stars because I want to support games like this on mobile, however if I could give 4.5 I would, because the game is quite short. Apart from that, it is GREAT! Featuring wondwrful controls, graphics and level design, as well as a decent story complete with cut scenes. It's so refreshing to be able to buy a quality game like this, without micro transactions, pay to win, or ads involved. Mobile gaming needs more games like this!

Brilliant game, lots of fun, beautiful graphics. Edit: just finished the game and it's lovely. Charming characters, beautiful graphics, storyline & voice acting. Really fun mechanics and gameplay. Can be frustrating at times, but nothing timing, perseverance and an occasional 10 minute break can't fix! Devs are very generous with respawn points. Can't wait to see a sequel and anything else this studio releases. Very well done!
