Useful Tips:

Never Shoot Without Cover: When you are on the ground, you will find several parts of the terrain that you can use as cover. Your priority should be to get behind one of those things before you start shooting at your enemies. Remember, you are in the middle of a war. You will not know how many enemies are out there so if you don’t prioritize your cover, you will end up dead before you can shoot anybody. Sprint in between covers to minimize your exposure. Don’t forget to check the arrow above your opponent’s head as this is the indicator of your effective range. If you shoot outside the effective range, you will deal less damage. Pick a hiding spot that is just within the effective range to maximize your damage output.

Use Terrain Strategically: As mentioned above, terrain can help provide cover. Trees are especially useful in this situation. Aside from that, there are also several benefits that you can take advantage of depending on the terrain. Starting a fight on a forest tile will give you a bonus in defense. Attacking at night will, on the other hand, will give you an offensive bonus. Make sure you maintain the morale of your troops by keeping their supplies up. Demoralized troops will shoot less and are more likely to lose in battle.

Let Your Army Protect Your Noblemen: The Commander mode is not just useful for auto-battle, you can also use it to help you in shooter mode. One good trick is to zoom out into Commander mode before moving so you can gauge how far away the enemy troops are from your location. The best trick in this mode, however, is to use the Protect command so that your entire army will defend you while you are in first-person shooter mode. It pays to have a lot of eyes on your back, especially when you are surrounded by enemies.

Hold Down Strategic Points: A good strategy to win the war is to capture and hold strategic points in the map. Secure as many key points as possible and defend them. When you are able to hold onto a specific tile for a long time, you will be able to get higher defensive bonuses. Couple that with a well-supplied army and you will be immovable. Use this tactic when charging up for the Earthshaker and your enemies won’t have a choice but to cower in fear.

A nice mix of strategy and shooter, "Noblemen: 1896" puts you in charge of a massive war, waging battle after battle against your enemy using a mix of tactical overhead engagement and firsthand, third person action. Along the way, you can improve your armies and personal arsenal using silver and gold, both relatively abundant for a free game. There are optional ads that can be watched for more gold, but like I said, it's quite abundant to slowly accrue it through normal gameplay. 10/10.

One of the best games I've ever played. It has a great strategy element and that's what I value most in strategy games. I also like that the game paid attention to even the smallest of details, for example, bullet travel speed. One thing I would add though. Is naval battles. Where you get to control a ship and fight alongside your fleet. Maybe even capture supply depots on islands. Perhaps you can add aerial battles too. That would make it a very interesting game.

Normally I wouldn't give five stars to a game that has as many flaws as this one. But despite the moments of the learning curve, and occasional inconsistencies with the game mechanics (cover recognition will screw me here and there).. This game is unique and genuinely fun. I would best describe it as a mobile version of Ghost Recon: advanced warfare, set during WW1. It's fantastic in its transition from overhead command mode to 1st person shooter. Free download, $3 to remove ads. Worth it, imo.

Great game honestly. I played a while back and broke my phone. Took forever to find the name of the game again. Back at it again, and wow. It is very fun. For those complaining of the ads... I don't have that problem because I use limited data so when I run out of data Its slow, so there are no ads. What I'm trying to say is it can be played offline. Just put your phone in airplane mode.

Noblemen: 1896 is set in 1896 – when your world or region is facing historical wars. There is no other way; you have to stand up to be able to resolve this tough battle. You will play a warrior who is good in all aspects, not only has the talent to lead soldiers, but the ability to shoot guns is not bad. Therefore, soldiers follow you a lot, with the belief that you can defeat the enemy’s army and win for your country.
