Gameplay of Arma Tactics:

Unlike the flagship titles in the series, Tactics is a turn-based game as opposed to being a real-time shooter, with the player taking command of a four-man special forces team instead of controlling a single unit.

General gameplay takes place in a 3D environment and mainly uses an overhead bird's eye perspective instead of a first/third person view camera, although the game will occasionally switch to using an over-the-shoulder view when zooming in on individual units.

Tactics has minor RPG-style (Role Playing Game) elements to it, such as being able to obtain experience points after completing objectives in order to level up each of the four characters' traits (weapon accuracy as an example), as well as unlocking new weapons and upgrading their individual equipment at the Armoury with obtained credits.

At the beginning of each mission, players are able to customise the loadout of their characters before starting, like switching their default primary for a different kind of weapon and carrying additional equipment in the form of hand grenades or an extra medical kit.

During the player's turn, they have a limited amount of Action Points to set the waypoints of each team member and issue various commands such as moving stealthily, attacking, taking cover, or providing overwatch. Once they've planned out their orders they can end their turn, at which point other enemy AI units in the mission will get their opportunity to act.

Not the best game, few bugs (test beta) but the developer works still on it and even if it has not much levels and only the achievements are interesting challenges that can frustrat, but i like the game and even the most will not like it i give personally this game a 70 %. Test the game, look reviews/ lets play and then hopefully you buy it for a few money support to the friendly and hard working developers with low budget.

The game is relatively short. But you can replay it. I had a great time playing it.It has a Demo if you want to try it out before you buy it. Recommended.If you have problems starting the game set the version to developer mode to get it to work. Right click on game in your steam library and look at the different tabs. Similar to setting it to how you would set other games to beta mode in the steam profile, only its called developer mode instead of beta mode.I'm hoping they come out with more missions and add ons.

This is an awesome game! BUT DO NOT BUY IT...YET!If you enjoy games like fallout tactics, you will likely love this.It is a great game I had hours of real enjoyment.My pain is that there is a bug mid way in the game, I cant complete it the game.There seems to be no desire to fix this issue.Wait for this game to hit a special of under $10 and buy it.That being said buy it right now at the time of writing this the cost is$8.99 and I think that game even broken is worth it.I do not feel it is worth $14 in a state where I can not complete the game.

Look, it's a cheap, simple game similar to the recent Xcom game on a lower scale (and budget) it has zero to do with arma, and even as someone with hundreds of hours in each traditional arma game, i can still say that this game is a fun romp for a while. just dont expect the realism of an arma game.
