In Echoes of the Town, players will follow Akemi's journey to stardom. However, as Akemi's fame grows, players will gradually discover that her agency is being targeted by the evil organization SBD. Players must help Akemi balance her career and saving the world. The game features multiple storylines, with players making up to twelve secondary actions or three primary actions each day (morning, afternoon, and night). Different choices trigger different plot events and developments, leading to different endings. Of course, regardless of the storyline, various exciting and sensual animated scenes are indispensable, providing players with even more thrills.

Gameplay of Echoes of the town:

First, the game involves time management (since you must pay off a debt within a certain timeframe). Each day is divided into morning, afternoon, and night. Each stage allows you to perform up to four minor actions (e.g., talk to an NPC to receive a mission, perform an erotic favor, or engage in random combat). You can also perform a "major action" that consumes the entire stage (working a day, completing a mission, resting, etc.). Because of this, players must organize the most optimal way to meet payment quotas. Depending on how you do it, you will get one ending or another.

The simplest, albeit most boring, way to play is to focus solely on "working" shifts at McDonald's to gain work experience and get better-paying jobs. Following this route, you won't encounter any sexual content, which makes little sense for an adult game. However, you will receive a "pure" ending and an achievement.

A second way to play is ideal for RPG lovers. It consists of turn-based combat with random enemies, as well as completing missions to hunt down vagrants, criminals, and drug dealers. With this play style, you will experience classic gameplay, leveling up, farming experience, buying powerful equipment and weapons, and devising a combat strategy. This route has some sexual content, but it's not the priority.

Finally, the last way to play consists of reducing the protagonist's "innocence" to a minimum, disillusioning her and encouraging her to offer sexual favors in exchange for money. Once she has no innocence left and is totally corrupt, you can easily earn money through prostitution and unlock secondary missions on this theme. This game mode offers the most content and endings. You can also combine it with the other two "game modes" for a more complete experience.

Akemi: Having spent years studying abroad, Akemi returns to her grandparents' town only to discover that she is burdened with a significant debt owed to the mayor. She shares a deep history as longtime friends with Masamaru.

Masamaru: Adopted by Akemi's grandparents many years ago, Masamaru was once a timid and reserved individual. However, he has since transformed into a renowned exorcist, gaining a reputation within the town for his abilities. He shares a close bond with Akemi.

Nanami: A enigmatic newcomer who arrived and brought along a set of challenges. She shares a friendship with Masamaru and has a history with Akemi's grandparents.

Mayor: A repugnant individual driven by greed, he relentlessly seeks to extract money from others. Since assuming control of the town, it has devolved into a haven for thieves.

Flexible Income Strategies: Players choose from diverse jobs—farming seasonal crops, foraging rare ingredients, or negotiating trade deals with eccentric villagers. Each role offers unique minigames, from crop rotation puzzles to bargaining challenges that test persuasion skills.

Resource Management Layers: Beyond debt payments, Akemi must maintain her health, energy, and reputation. Investing in better tools boosts efficiency, while neglecting self-care leads to penalties like reduced mobility or unfavorable town gossip.

Town Customization Impact: As Akemi pays down debts, she can revitalize decaying town areas—restoring the community center unlocks new quests, while cleaning polluted rivers opens fishing spots. These changes visually reflect progress through brighter colors and bustling NPCs.

This game is way better than I expected, it is not perfect but it definitely hits the spot for what it's trying to achieve and captured me through the gameplay, story and H-scenes.

Gameplay4/5: In the game you play in 2.5D perspective and your goal is to pay off the debt from the mayor for the house every week. You can make money by working, whoring yourself out, doing quests and killing enemies essentially. While the work cycle may become repetetive after a while, usually there is stuff/quests to do on the map each day that passes, leaving some side options. Combat is nothing out of the ordinary, standard RPGM with battlefuck mechanic but I do like the animations there. Main drawback when it comes to gameplay for me would be unnecessary gameovers, repetetive tasks/grinding other than that it's pretty fun.Another thing that I don't like is the repetetive combat/H-Scene dialgoue when fucking strangers. Would be nice to have some variety in dialogue because it gets kinda tiring seeing the same lines for alot of the encounters.

H-Scenes5/5: Maybe I'm biased on this but the artstyle really caught me. Animations are well done and the sex situations of the MC are very hot. You can sell urself, get fucked in battle or have actual romance options with male sidecharacters like her brother etc., the latter I rarely ever see in a femprotag game which is a bit of a gamechanger for me personally. The sex scenes when selling urself do get repetetive after a while but that is really impossible to prevent in that type of game so not a huge deal to me.

Story5/5: Ur broke, back in ur hometown and now have to pay off a corrupt mayor, but overtime u uncover the actual corruption in the city. A very nice touch imo. The characters are not super deep but essentially all have something that makes them stand out in one way or another I really like that. Giving important story characters their own sprites and portraits also helped make the game-world feel more alive. I really like this type of modern day corruption story where you can also choose whether u walk the path of innocence or end up being as deprived as everyone.

I'd urge you to try it out, it may not be for everyone but for me it was definitely a little gem. It may be rough around the edges in some points (some battle sprites are standard assets while others are custom, would've preferred full custom but it's not a huge drawback) but I see a developer really giving it his all to make the game enjoyable so I'll leave a more generous review.
